Cameron Norrie has bowed out of the Paris Masters as he suffered a straight-set loss to Valentin Vacherot by 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 in the round of 16.
The Monegasque tennis player expressed his excitement over his victory during his post-match interview,” It was a really big performance.”

This year, Vacherot, who was ranked world number 204 in September, entered this week’s tournament as number 40.
Norrie failed to capitalise as he dropped two points during his serve in the opening set.
In the second set, Norrie got booed by the crowd as he was raising his arm. He passed up a further two break points at 2-2 and dropped serve.
The 26-year-old saved another two break points to lead 5-3 as he waved his racquet to the crowd. He sealed the match with a second match point win.
Vacherot is now gearing up for his next match against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals. Vacherot defeated his cousin Arther Rinderknech by 6-7(9-11) 6-3 6-4 to advance to the next round.
This will be the first time both opponents meet, as Felix feels like he might win this one, as he finds it easier to play against opponents he doesn’t know well.
