Barbora Krejcikova’s resilience shines through as she battles back from 5-2 down to crush Emma Raducanu at the Korea Open

Raducanu won the first set and was close to winning the match, but Krejcikova broke her serve and came back from 5-2 down in the second set to force a tiebreak. Raducanu had two match points, but Krejcikova saved them and won the tiebreak 12-10.

In the final set, Krejcikova took control, broke Raducanu’s serve twice, and went on to win the match.

Sharing her reaction on her victory, this is what Krejcikova had to say,” A difficult, difficult match. I was very down; I don’t know how I turned it around. I am just happy to be here and happy to be tough in my head.”

Krejcikova began her professional tennis career in 2014. At first, she was known more for her success in doubles, but she quickly proved her talent in singles as well. She has won 8 WTA singles titles and 19 doubles titles.

She has an impressive 12 Grand Slam titles across singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. Her biggest breakthrough came in 2021 when she won the French Open singles title.

Barbora Krejcikova and Iga Swiątek have played each other five times, this is their 6th fixture meeting.

Swiątek won their first match at the Miami Open, 6-4, 6-2. Their second meeting was in Rome, where Swiątek won a close match 3-6, 7-6, 7-5.

Krejcikova got her first win against Swiątek in Ostrava, beating her 5-7, 7-6, 6-3. She then won again in Dubai with a score of 6 4, 6 2. Most recently, Swiątek won at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
