He will partner up with Jordan Thompson in the Men’s Doubles since Max Purcell, who is usually Thompson’s partner, received an 18-month ban for doping.

Speaking to the media, the 30-year-old explained how he is so thrilled to play against a fellow Australian tennis star, they will try to play their best and give it their all.

“We’ve played at the French Open before, so it’ll be good to get out there and play with another fellow Aussie and have a bit of fun.”

When the pair played together in 2017 during the French Open, they delivered an exceptional performance, defeating Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut. But their winning marathon ended in the third round of the tournament.

Looking at both teammates’ records, Kyrgios won the men’s doubles in 2022 alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis, where they thrashed Matt Ebden and Max Purcell by 7-5,6-3 at the Rod Laver Arena.

Thompson won the US Open title in 2024 with his partner in crime, Purcell, defeating German stars Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz by 6-4, 7-4(4).

During his tennis professional break from  court, Kyrgios was doing commentary duties for the BBC at Wimbledon.

Having battled with many injuries that led to surgery, he had to undergo a full wrist reconstruction and knee arthroscopic surgery.

He made his return in January at the Brisbane tournament, and in March, he had to retire at the Indian Wells match against Botic Van De Zandschulp due to an uncomfortable  sharp pain on his wrist.

This year’s French Open will start on May 25 until June 8 at the Porte d’Auteuil. Tennis star like Arthur Fils , Ugo Humbert , Caroline Garcia, Varvara Gracheva, Loïs Boisson will be participating.
