The 42-year-old was appointed Chelsea head coach in January but was dismissed in April after taking charge of 23 matches. Despite the disappointing end to his time at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior said he has taken valuable lessons into his new role.

“We joined the club in the middle of a season and a difficult moment, and I have many lessons I’ve learned,” Rosenior said at his first press conference as Paris FC manager.

“There are things that I definitely could have done better and things I could have taken accountability for, but there are also good things in what we did as well.”

Rosenior insisted he has no bitterness towards Chelsea and wished the club and new head coach Xabi Alonso every success.

“I wish them all the best in the future. I think they have a fantastic manager, Xabi Alonso, now, and I will look out for their results,” he said.

“But those lessons that I take away from Chelsea, we will put into this job and hopefully they will help this club become a very, very big club in world football as well.”

Before his spell at Chelsea, Rosenior impressed in Ligue 1 with Strasbourg, another club linked to BlueCo, and said returning to France was an easy decision.

“Ligue 1 is a fantastic league. I said that when I left for Chelsea,” he said.

“I feel like myself and the staff have joined such an exciting project, where the potential is so big. It was something I couldn’t say no to.”
