The England captain has one year remaining on his current Bayern deal and is now ready to discuss extending his stay at the German champions.

Kane said negotiations between his representatives and the club are expected to start soon, with both sides relaxed about the situation.

“I only have one year left on my contract, so now is the time to talk about it,” Kane said on Monday, according to AZ.

“We’ll talk about it next week or the week after. Both sides are very relaxed,” he added.

Kane, who has established himself as Bayern’s leading striker since joining from Tottenham on 2023, appears open to continuing his career in Munich.

Bayern are also keen to keep the 33-year-old, with reports suggesting the main issue to be resolved is the length of any new agreement.

The proposed extension could see Kane remain at the club until 2029 or 2030, meaning the striker could spend the final years of his career at Bayern.
