Jamie Moore's Diary - jockey talks Goshen and Ascot rides

Race 3 No5 SUMMERGROUNDS (Nap)
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

Although only beating one home in a four horse affair at Bangor, SUMMERGROUNDS made the mistake of doing too much in the early stages. Given a more patient ride this regular earner can kick start a good afternoon for his trainer.

Race 4 No2 PARISENCORE
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

Veteran PARISENCORE is also holding his form well and is of interest on this third run after a second wind operation. He should enjoy stepping up the trip ladder after making Southoftheborder fight for the spoils when a 33-1 roughie at Aintree.

Race 6 No3 FOLLOW CHARLIE (Each Way)
Trainer: Mike Smith – Jockey: Murray Dodd

FOLLOW CHARLIE hasn’t fared well on his last three visits to this course but is a past winner here. While a shade inconsistent, he could easily raise his game to earn at a price in this conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle.

Race 5 No5 BOOM BOOM (Each Way)
Trainer: Rob Summers – Jockey: Robbie Dunne

PERSON OF INTEREST will be all the rage and should go close following his Uttoxeter triumph last week. He’s back for more from 7lb higher but at a huge price BOOM BOOM has an outside chance of repeating his win in this race last year. His jumping let him down here last time, but if he can sharpen that up he has the ability to earn.

Race 7 No5 A TICKATICKATIMING (Each Way)
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Marc Goldstein

A TICKATICKATIMING can do too much in front as was the case on her latest outing her a fortnight ago. That fifth placing in a stronger race wasn’t to be sniffed at however, and there’s quiet confidence from the yard that she can do better if consenting to relax.
