Arsenal have been confirmed as the 2025/26 Premier League champions after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw away at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
The decisive moment at the Vitality Stadium came in the 38th minute when Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi put the hosts ahead, leaving City chasing the game.
Despite sustained pressure, Pep Guardiola’s side could only find an equaliser deep into stoppage time through Erling Haaland, a goal that ultimately proved insufficient as victory was required to keep their hopes alive.
The draw leaves Manchester City four points behind Arsenal with just one fixture remaining, confirming that the Gunners cannot be caught at the top of the table.
Attention had already been swirling around City even before kick-off, after reports emerged that Guardiola is set to leave the club at the end of the season. That development was widely viewed as a potential disruption to the squad’s focus during the run-in.
