THIRSK

Race 2 – GENESIUS 2/1

GENESIUS has placed on each of his three starts this term but can finally hit the mark in the Best Price Guaranteed Daily At Vickers.bet Handicap.

He is not easy to win with, having struck four times in 37 starts, with his last victory having come over a year ago from a 1lb lower mark.
However, Genesius generally puts his best foot forward for Sir Mark Prescott and should be able to do so again.

Race 5 – ORBITAL CHIME 7/1

ORBITAL CHIME should strip much fitter for his seasonal bow as he tackles the Download The Vickers.Bet App Handicap.

A nursery winner for James Horton back in 2022, he was limited to just a couple of starts last term and then returned from a 294-day break at Haydock at the start of the month.

Beaten just under six lengths in sixth as a 40/1 shot, Orbital Chime ran well enough against some race-fit rivals and can take advantage of a 2lb ease in the weights.

Race 6 – ROBERTO CARO 15/2

ROBERTO CARO can be forgiven a disappointing recent start as he makes his debut for Adrian Keatley.

Previously trained by Ollie Sangster and then Seb Spencer, the three-year-old looked reasonably progressive in three starts, winning one of two runs for his first handler before finishing second for his next trainer.

However, his upward curve came to an abrupt end last time when he raced pretty keenly before dropping away to be beaten 10 lengths in fourth on his first handicap start.

Given a bit of a break and a new yard since that effort, Roberto Caro can put up an improved effort in the Nicky Warren’s 53rd Happy Birthday Handicap.

Race 7 – YAZAMAN 15/10

YAZAMAN maintains excellent winning form now seeking a four-timer following a victory tackling a five furlong handicap at Wetherby in this class.

Saaheq has been running well including a solid fourth contesting a five-furlong handicap at Ayr last week. Holds every chance.

Mereside Angel showed ability at Catterick two runs ago when a good third among this handicap company over five furlongs and will be in the mix.
