LINGFIELD
Race 1 – WOLFSPEAR 5/4
WOLFSPEAR (3) was far from fluent at Uttoxeter in January however kept on well to record his third hurdling victory. Small rise in weights seems manageable and a bold bid is anticipated.
ITO DITTO (1) is two from four with hurdles since reappearing at Chepstow during October. Will need to bounce back after pulling up in a G3 contest at Newbury attempting latest. Player.
BATAILLON (4) may improve on only his third start since moving yards. IN FROM THE COLD (2) might be best watched on this occasion unless the market speaks in his favour.
Race 2 – JUNIPER 11/8
JUNIPER (2) resumed last month attempting a similar race at Taunton. Opened her chasing account on that occasion with a ready 11L success. Looks more than capable of following up at the chief expense of
EUREKA CREEK (1) who could take advantage of an easing in grade and trip.
FORTUNEFAVORSDBOLD (4) got off the mark adopting first-time cheekpieces at Huntingdon and will relish conditions on offer here so commands respect. ELEANOR BOB (3) managed to win her past two races over this distance and cannot be ruled out.
Race 3 – HOME FREE 4/5
HOME FREE (3) kept on nicely last time tackling further here to secure second. The consistent KILBARRY HILL (4) placed in all four races under rules and looks a key player dropping back in trip.
WEE TONY (5) delivered an eye-catching fifth of fourteen effort at Huntingdon and is feared. DANCE TO FAME (2) will probably need the run having pulled up at Kempton last month returning from over two years off the track.
Race 4 – LAZY SUNDAY 13/8
LAZY SUNDAY (1) was favourite and leading the pack when falling three from home here last month. Good opportunity found to redeem herself especially if strong in the betting again.
VALIRANN GOLD (6) won by a commanding 8L under Gavin Sheehan at Fontwell. Maintains solid follow-up chances in this moderate-looking handicap.
HUNTER LEGEND (2) has made the frame twice from three fences outings and could be thereabouts. HAS TROKE (3) rates an obvious danger adopting first-time blinkers.
Race 5 – MAJOR FORTUNE 11/8
MAJOR FORTUNE (8) is thriving at present completing a four-timer with hurdles including latest back-to-back course and distance successes. Up in grade but hard to oppose. Major player.
HILL OF TARA (4) is four from six since reappearing during November and will likely take full advantage if the main selection fails to deliver. Danger.
HOW AND EVER (5) justified favouritism to open his hurdling account last time at Fontwell. In the mix. MOVETHECHAINS (1) arrives four from four tackling track and trip so is impossible to leave off the shortlist.
Race 6 – PICKANUMBER 5/6
PICKANUMBER (2) could not have been more impressive upon his Catterick reappearance last month displaying a great attitude to come home a 9L winner. In the mix.
Any moves in the market for the returning SCHELEM (3) will probably prove significant with the same applying to GROOVEUR (4) who will have no doubt needed his recent run at Lingfield following a substantial absence.
