Black Lightening (4) has been racing well with two placings from past five outings. Eleventh at Uttoxeter can be ignored.

Journey West (3) holds each-way claims if improving from a competitive fifth in a seventeen-runner contest at Chepstow.

Race 3 – ONE TRUE KING 10/3

ONE TRUE KING (1) is capable of overcoming top weight. Managed a solid sixth in a competitive handicap chase at Cheltenham and faces easier competition.

Animal (5) makes seasonal reappearance. Brings some fair chase form from last season and finds an open race for this return.

Track and Trace (8) was a winner resumed at Warwick in a novice hurdle. Switches to fences holding claims.

Race 5 – HASTHING 2/5

HASTHING (3) has placed at graded level. Useful jumpers flat performer making the transition to hurdles with an exciting profile. Leading chance.

Globe Player (6) returned after a break with a good third at Huntingdon. Brings the advantage of race fitness compared to main selection.

Rocket Ronald (4) makes racecourse debut for a yard with good form. Holds each way claims as a solid purchase from tattersalls national hunt sale in 2018.

Fortuitous Find (2) resumes. Nice third in a Doncaster novice hurdle when last seen November 2022.

Race 7 – OAKLEY DANCER  6/5

OAKLEY DANCER (4) closed off previous preparation securing a double. Impressed with a 6l success at newton abbot and could go well fresh.

Word Has It (1) holds each-way claims making seasonal reappearance. Proven in handicap hurdles. Not to be dismissed.

KEMPTON

Race 1 – MISS DOLLY ROCKER 2/1

The consistent MISS DOLLY ROCKER (6) has not missed the frame in nine starts under rules including a win on turf. Drop back in distance is positive. Major player.

Big Bear Hug (9) responded positively to the application of first-time cheekpieces securing a 3l victory tackling the trip at Newmarket earlier this month.

Respect Arctician (1) kept on well but just missed out on securing a place attempting the journey here. Thereabouts. Forward flight (8) is lightly raced. Could gain a placing.

Race 4 – EZRA CEE 6/4

EZRA CEE (4) improved to finish second of eleven here last month under Oisin Murphy. Steps back up in journey and sure to be thereabouts.

Character Testing (2) was narrowly denied debuting over course and distance in August before recording another runner-up effort at Musselburgh. Thereabouts fresh from a short break.

Race 9 DOTTIES STAR 5/1

DOTTIES STAR (1) very nearly took advantage of a drop in grade when second of nine at Windsor. A similar display will surely see him thereabouts.

Mitigator (3) won here last year attempting a slightly shorter journey. Fairly treated on figures and could have a say in the outcome.

Churchill Rose (7) delivered an improved performance finishing runner-up tackling the trip at Lingfield. Might have more to offer.

Largo Bay (6) produced four placed efforts from fourteen attempts since winning over course and distance the previous September. Capable of a big run.
