NOTTINGHAM

Race 6 No15 ROSEMARY’S ROSE (Nap)
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: George Wood

This is a tough card for betting as Colwick Park begins its 2026 programme. However the very consistent ROSEMARY’S ROSE receives weight from the field and should get into the shake up as the only bet.

CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 4 No3 VINCE LE PRINCE (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

VINCE LE PRINCE put together a string of frame finishes towards the end of the 2025 campaign and returns with a plum draw in this 1400 metres contest. In an open race he should again make the podium.

Race 5 No5 TUPERO (Nap)
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

TUPERO has plenty going for him in this stayers’ handicap, including scope for progression following a Newcastle triumph on only a fourth start out of this yard. It’s his first outing on turf since debuting for Christopher Head in France, and he remains unexposed.

Race 7 No7 THE GOOD BISCUIT
Trainer: Ruth Carr – Jockey: Koanna Mason

THE GOOD BISCUIT posted three successes from 15 starts for Carr through 2025 with back-to-back triumphs at Pontefract and this course. He returns in search of a hat-trick and though drawn wider than ideal is capable of achieving it.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 5 No7 GORCOMBE MOONSHINE
Trainer: Robert Walford – Jockey: Ben Godfrey

GORCOMBE MOONSHINE had a proper cut at his fences despite jumping to the left and racing freely at Hereford. In the circumstances he did well to finish second but it was an encouraging effort in many ways. He’s 5 lb higher, but should operate around this figure-of-eight track.

Race 6 No2 TYSON (Nap)
Trainer: Dan Skelton – Jockey: Tristan Durrell

Under a 7lb penalty for his facile success at Newcastle last week TYSON should prove very hard to beat. He relished moving up in trip at Gosforth Park and the drying ground should not be a problem to him.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No6 LITTLECOTE
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

LITTLECOTE ran well in defeat on her second career start at Southwell and breaks from the rail. She can cause problems for penalised favourite ROMANTIC SYMPHONY in an interesting opener.

Race 2 No10 TURRET (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Newcomer TURRET attracted plenty of support ahead of his intended first race for which he was scratched. The Kingman colt has a good slot in the gate under the champion jockey and is taken to outpoint GO RIMBAUD.

Race 5 No3 CLUB CLASS
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

CLUB CLASS was all about consistency over middle distances last season, gaining a clear cut triumph at this course in September. She’s relatively inexperienced as a handicapper but looks the way to go on her first run of 2026.

Race 6 No6 NIGHT MISSION (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Rimell – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

NIGHT MISSION is a good looking colt representing a small stable in an open affair who could be the answer. He was supported to open his account only to run into one at Redcar, but on this first try on the all-weather can go one better.
