BANGOR-ON-DEE

Race 3 No1 HALFTHEWORLDAWAY (Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Greenall – Jockey: Toby Wynne

It’s a quiet start to Easter week in the UK and a selective approach looks in order until we see the better racing later. Oliver Greenall is getting ready to fire both Iroko and Jagwar at the Grand National and a good omen for those horses can arrive via HALFTHEWORLDAWAY. She has progressed from race to race this season, and after opening her account at odds-on over the course and distance can back it up under a penalty.

Race 4 No10 RULE ME IN (Each Way)
Trainer: Christian Williams – Jockey: Jack Tudor

Not quite as solid is RULE ME IN, but the seven-year-old has it in him to pick up a race after troubling the judge in four of his five chases. He’s been backed a couple of times, and nestling as he does at the foot of the weights he figures to prove dangerous if in the mood.

NEWCASTLE

Race 1 No6 JEHOL DE THAIX
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

In an open race JEHOL DE THAIX can gain a first success under Rules. He’s been placed in a bumper and three of five starts over hurdles which in itself stamps him as solid. But the key is this longer trip of two and threequarter miles, which can help bring out the best in him.

Race 2 No3 I C U IN MY DREAMS (Nap)
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Theo Gillard

Grey mare I C U IN MY DREAMS was a point winner in Ireland before finishing second on a first run under Rules in a Catterick bumper. She wasn’t as good next time in a jumper-bumper on Tapeta, but bounced back with a career best when narrowly missing out on a first hurdles outing at Doncaster, a repeat of which will make him the one to beat.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No3 SAYIDAH ALEEN
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

From a stable amongst the winners, SAYIDAH ALEEN might be the answer. While she will improve a lot for this first outing, the Ten Sovereigns filly has shown promise at home and in receipt of 5lb could shake up the penalised LIZZANA.

Race 4 No3 DANEHILL STAR (Nap)
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

DANEHILL STAR was a four times AW scorer last year and might have been unfortunate not to add to that on turf. He posted a first 2026 triumph at Lingfield last month, whilst going close on his last two outings. He’s very appealing now dropped into a seller and back at his favourite track, where he’s a dual winner.

Race 5 No3 SIMPLIFY
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Hollie Doyle

Profitable filly SIMPLIFY posted a first success on her last of four 2025 starts at Thirsk last September where she was backed to overturn a short priced foe. She’s going into the handicap arena with plenty to recommend her as she’s worked well on the all-weather at home.
