LUDLOW

Race 3 No5 KNIGHTON (Each Way)
Trainer: Oliver Greenall – Jockey: Craig Nichol

KNIGHTON is interesting on his first outing in handicap company for a stable amongst the winners. He’s proved very easy to back in each of three starts to obtain a mark, but managed to trouble the judge twice and can do better in this sphere.

Race 4 No3 RUMOURSAREFLYING (Nap)
Trainer: Pam Sly – Jockey: Paul O’Brien

RUMOURSAREFLYING was a victim of his own enthusiasm when doing too much in front on his latest start at Doncaster. If ridden with restraint he can cash in on the weight he receives from his foes in a race that’s cut up favourably for him.

Race 5 No5 WALKADINA (Each Way)
Trainer: David Pipe – Jockey: Jack Tudor

WALKADINA is a strong traveller who was unlucky to be beaten on a second of three outings this season at Ludlow. She’s been rested since an underwhelming effort last time, and following a freshening break can do better on drying ground that should play to her strengths. STONER’S CHOICE has taken a drop in the weights and could be a factor if he’s allowed to bowl along, which hasn’t been the case in his races so far this season.

SEDGEFIELD

Race 4 No4 IT’S MAISY (Nap)
Trainer: Sue Smith – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

IT’S MAISY a signalled with her earning run at Catterick that she’s on the cusp of a return to winning ways and should go well for her in form stable as long as the ground doesn’t dry out too much.

NEWCASTLE

Race 2 No4 ARGY BARGY
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

Fanshawe brings a couple with strong chances from his Pegasus base in Newmarket and ARGY BARGY can get him off to a good start. Both the gelding’s earning runs have been on the all-weather, while he gets weight from his two nearest rivals in the betting.

Race 4 No4 INISHBEG (Nap)
Trainer: Kevin Ryan – Jockey: Kevin Stott

Convivial Stakes fourth INISHBEG ran well to chase home a smart foe at Redcar, making him the form pick in this 1400 metres maiden. The Ghaiyyath colt is well regarded by his trainer, and can open his account.

Race 6 No11 WOODRAFF
Trainer: Ruth Carr – Jockey: James Sullivan

WOODRAFF is all about consistency with a recent profile of 224122, but the decision to add a first time visor could bolster his claims of a return to winning ways as the go to horse in this bottom level contest.
