WINCANTON

Race 2 No7 AT THE OCHE

Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Miss Amber Jackson

AT THE OCHE has finished second in three of the four handicap hurdles he’s contested but is ready to change that now back on a quicker surface. He couldn’t match market rival Eaton Mes at the end of his latest outing at this course but now stretches out a tad on the distance ladder, and has a good amateur in his saddle.

Race 3 No8 STANNERS GLEN

Trainer: Harry Fry – Jockey: Bryan Carver

STANNERS GLEN won a bumper and a point before joining Fry from an Irish stable and he’s run well on both starts under Rules whilst proving expensive to follow. Nevertheless, his form is the best on offer, and he is just preferred to KILNEW SUPREME who can form the flip side of the exacta.

Race 6 No7 MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE (Nap)

Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

Although he hasn’t won over hurdles in three and a half years, MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE brings very good form from a Grade 1 track to the table. He’s picked up a cheque in back to back visits to Ascot and this can be seen as a class drop.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No4 MYRIGHTHANDMAN (Nap)

Trainer: Tom Lacey – Jockey: Stan Sheppard

MYRIGHTHANDMAN has to be the percentage call in the opener largely because of his habit of troubling the judge. He’s an uncomplicated ride, while market rival LOUSTOC DU CHATEL has compromised his chances by running too freely.

Race 3 a No1 RUKAANA

Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Benjamin Macey

RUKAANA backed up a Windsor success when going well at Catterick and is running as well as ever. Furthermore his stable are bang amongst the winners, and the track and ground will also suit him.

Race 6 No6 TAKEIT EASY

Trainer: Pam Sly – Jockey: Alice Stevens

TAKEIT EASY showed an appreciation for a return to better ground when second  at Fakenham and has now been given a chance by the handicapper. He has fewer question marks against him than those closest to him in the betting.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 1 No7 BLUE JAY WAY (Each Way)

Trainer: John Riches – Jockey: Sean Kirrane

BLUE JAY WAY hasn’t fired in his two races this year but from a good draw in this bottom level race over 1400 metres can return to form and get into the shake-up.

Race 3 No1 MOLLY MARINE (Each Way)

Trainer: Jack Jones – Jockey: George Bass

MOLLY MARINE comes from a good family and I’m not disheartened that she’s thrown three duck eggs on the way to this first run in a handicap. It looks a very weak affair, and any support for the US Navy Flag filly who is South African-owned would be interesting.

Race 6 No1 HARD TO BELIEVE (Nap)

Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

balding runs two in this novice but HARD TO BELIEVE is his ace card. The Make Believe gelding landed some good bets when opening his account on a second career start at Bath and he’s trained well on an all-weather gallop at home. He should make no mistake with the champion jockey in his saddle.
