SANDOWN PARK

Race 3 No6 SOUTHOFTHEBORDER (Nap)
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Nico de Boinville

Point and bumper winner SOUTHOFTHEBORDER has looked the part in his preparation for this witch to hurdles. Representing top connections, he can remain unbeaten at the main expense of Spirits Bay.

Race 5 No4 TOTTERDOWN (Each Way)
Trainer: Richard Phillips – Jockey: Finn Lambert

TOTTERDOWN has a good record first time out and at likely double figure odds can give us a good run for our money in this handicap hurdle. The veteran was not for catching when adopting his customary forcing tactics on last year’s reappearance at Leicester, and though unable to cut the mustard on two previous visits to this track can buck that trend.

Race 6 No4 GOOD BOY BOBBY
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

GOOD BOY BOBBY can confirm his superiority over Cyclop in this veterans’ handicap chase. The selection had to work hard for that delivery at Chepstow, but has taken his exertions well. Furthermore this course with its emphasis on jumping should play to his strengths.

FFOS LAS

Race 1 No6 STEEL ALLY (Nap)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Charlie Deutsch

STEEL ALLY skipped an engagement last week owing to unsuitable ground. If allowed to take his chance in this novices’ hurdle he’s worth supporting as he showed ability in his first bumper last season and promises to be better now presented with flights of hurdles in front of him.

Race 3 No7 THE JUKEBOX MAN
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

With his winning experience here, THE JUKEBOX MAN is one to take seriously as he embarks on a hurdling campaign. In the colours of Harry Redknapp the gelded son of Ask can prevail in a strong race with Pyffo a big danger.

Race 4 No2 BALLYDISCO
Trainer: Philip Hobbs – Jockey: Mr Ben Sutton

BALLYDISCO scored on two of his final three outings last season and is a progressive individual who could have a lot more to offer in handicaps. His stable had made a solid start to the season, and he’s fit for this first run since April.
