NOTTINGHAM

Race 1 No3 HELLO IT’S ME (Nap)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Jason Hart

HELLO IT’S ME finished third of six on her first outing at Chester when she didn’t go unbacked. Without running green she would have made more of a race of it with the two that beat her, and it’s always worth bearing in mind that juvenile form from the Roodee usually stands the test.

Race 2 No4 FLASH BARDOT (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

FLASH BARDOT is a name to conjure with now there’s some juice in the ground, and she’s worth considering for a speculative bet if near her big paper price. She’s been given the kid glove treatment in four underwhelming runs this year but could leave that behind at any time.

Race 7 No15 HINCHINBROOKE (Each Way)
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam – Jockey: Steve Donoghue

If he was able to recapture the promise of his earning run in the Wood Ditton in the spring, HINCHINBROOKE would appear well handicapped. Problematic to the equation is that he threw in a couple of forgettable efforts, though his fourth in a Class4 on the Kempton Poly last time suggests he could outrun his lofty price here.

LUDLOW

Race 2 No3 KINGSTON SUNFLOWER (Nap)
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Fern O’Brien

KINGSTON SUNFLOWER looks the way to go in this conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle. The mare spent time on the injury list but has been readied with a run on the Flat. She’s a multiple winner over jumps while her stable is in very good form.

Race 7 No6 MIRACLES DO HAPPEN
Trainer: Tom Lacey – Jockey: Stan Sheppard

In a tricky bumper to wrap up proceedings MIRACLES DO HAPPEN can put her best foot forward. The filly troubled the judge on her second start and that puts her in with a shot at downing paper favourite Snatch A Glance.

SEDGEFIELD

Race 2 No4 PESCATORIUS
Trainer: Olly Murphy – Jockey: Sean Bowen

PESCATORIUS has squandered a few chances but under the champion jockey rates a solid proposition here. The stamina test that confronts him is what he wants, giving him plenty of time to justify the long journey for a race that’s cut up in his favour.

Race 6 No7 OPALE DE MAINE (Nap)
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

The safest bet on the card however is OPALE DE MAINE, who brings outstanding claims to the table on the long haul from Lambourn for a trainer with a good record with his runners here.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No1 MR WRITER
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

MR WRITER has shown a tendency to run freely which was evident in his last two starts. However, he’s back in novice company here, and if able to reproduce the form that saw him chase home the smart Cape Orator at this track he can laugh off his position as the outsider of three.

Race 5 No10 TOO DARN GOOD (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Hills – Jockey: David Egan

Now that his stable has run into better form, TOO DARN GOOD takes the eye competing from the base of the weights and from a plum draw. It’s his first run in a handicap, while he’s returning from a freshening break while the dam’s side of his pedigree is all about speed.

Race 9 No12 ARLECCHINO’S REX ( Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Charles Bishop

ARLECCHINO’S REX is yet to build on his sole career win at Wolverhampton but from a good slot in the gate he has claims to get into the shake-up at a big double figure price, making him worth a small investment.
