SALISBURY

Race 1 No6 MONKS MEAD (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Patrick Millman

A drop in trip could prove a boon to MONKS MEAD who has knocked on the door on his last two starts and will get good assistance from the saddle in this amateur jockeys’ handicap. He’s the value bet to halt the winning run of hat-trick seeker Endowed.

Race 5 No7 DARKENED EDGE (Nap)
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan

Mangan has built up a good understanding with DARKENED EDGE who brings a ring of consistency to the table in this all-aged sprint. She’s frequently well backed and looks to have been found a good opening to atone for her defeat at Chepstow last time.

Race 6 No10 NAVID
Trainer: Harry Charlton – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

NAVID races as though he wants this stamina test to bring about the necessary improvement to get off the mark. He’s improved from race to race in four outings this season, ran well to trouble the judge at Epsom last time and can score for a trainer who rarely leaves this course empty handed.

CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 1 No7 COURT OF STARS
Trainer: Ollie Sangster – Jockey: Sam James

Inns Of Court filly COURT OF STARS has troubled the judge on each of his career starts and went down by a narrow margin at Brighton. Though not having the best of draws she might know too much for Tailgunner Joe, who was not disgraced on his first run in Royal Ascot’s Chesham Stakes.

Race 4 No3 PENN AVENUE (Nap)
Trainer: Daniel Kubler – Jockey: Jason Hart

PENN AVENUE had to dig deep to make sure of it at Lingfield for which the filly has been raised 3lb. However, back on turf over a longer trip that should suit her she can follow up for a stable amongst the winners.

LEICESTER

Race 3 No5 PERCY’S DAYDREAM
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Kevin Stott

Northern trainers can do well at this meeting, starting with PERCY’S DAYDREAM who is a winner over a mile and a quarter and showed she gets this longer trip when dead heating for second in a better race at Haydock last time.

Race 6 No10 TOOTA
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

TOOTA brings figures of 2232 to the table in a weak sprint handicap in which she’s the most likely of the contenders to run up to her best form. A cut back to 1200 metres might prove the answer for the daughter of Sands Of Mali, who receives upwards of 4lbs from her fellow three-year-olds.

Race 7 No1 ARRAN (Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

ARRAN showed at Windsor he’s retained a fair chunk of the ability that enabled him to run in Group company in a two-year-old season that was cut short. That frame finish on handicap bow is there to be built on, and with a move up to 1400 metres promising to suit he can regain the winning thread.

DONCASTER

Race 3 No3 HURSTWOOD
Trainer: Peter Niven – Jockey: Aiden Brookes

With his near miss at Thirsk, HURSTWOOD put behind him a sub standard previous effort which augurs well for his prospects in this bottom of the ladder sprint. The veteran was raised 2lb for that but looks to be competing from a reasonable mark.

Race 4 No7 TIRIAC (Each Way)
Trainer: Paul Midgley – Jockey: David Nolan

The recent rain has been welcomed by the connections of TIRIAC, who hasn’t enjoyed the rub of the green in each of his last two starts of 2025. He’s a horse that seems to meet trouble as he likes to be held up and to wait for gaps to appear. That has not been forthcoming, but with plenty of cut in the official going description this could be his day.

Race 7 No3 HUNKY DORY (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

While starting to become frustrating, HUNKY DORY ran well to a point at Ffos Las and can bounce back here, competing from a 1lb lower mark in a race her trainer feels she can win. She looked in good order in her final canter yesterday and needs respecting.
