CHEPSTOW

Race 1 No2 TRIPLE GEE (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

TRIPLE GEE has it to do on the ratings in this match with Ammes but the Masar gelding put in a solid earning run on his debut at Salisbury from which he can improve past the favourite.

Race 3 No6 SIR ALBERT
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

SIR ALBERT is an unknown quantity, but one that needs respect in this 1200 metres maiden he cost 165,000 Euros and is a well related individual who has shown promise in his work at Park House.

Race 7 No8 DIAMOND COTTAGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Malcolm Saunders – Jockey: Gina Mangan

Veteran sprinter DIAMOND COTTAGE needs close inspection considering how unlucky she was when running out of real estate at a vital time on her latest start at Chepstow. She had previously been narrowly denied by her close relative Fisherman’s Cottage at Salisbury and is in very good heart.

AYR

Race 3 No6 SIXCOR (Each Way)
Trainer: Linda Perrett – Jockey: Paul Mulrennan

Perrett has done well with SIXCOR who since joining her local stable has posted four successes at the course. He proved easy to back when claiming a minor cheque over 1000 metres here last time, but is now back over a more favourable 1200 metres.

WARWICK

Race 1 No5 TWO TO TANGO
Trainer: Emma Lavelle – Jockey: Ben Jones

TWO TO TANGO brings experience of running in handicaps into the maiden hurdle for a stable doing well with its summer jumpers. It’s taking him a long time to put his head in front, but his latest effort at Plumpton is strong form in the context of this race, should it be repeated.

Race 2 No7 MR LE PHILOSOPHE
Trainer: James Owen – Jockey: Sean Bowen

A market check is advised on MR LE PHILOSOPHE who has had plenty of time to settle into his new surroundings in Newmarket after showing promise for his previous trainer. Owen has proved very effective in getting the best out of his new recruits, and this horse could prove a case in point.

Race 4 No4 IN THIS WORLD
Trainer: Rob Summers – Jockey: James Best

IN THIS WORLD has been running well over fences and hurdles and now makes his debut for Summers. His latest effort at Stratford came after a long lay off, and shows he can cope with a protracted gap between his races, as is the case this afternoon.

BRIGHTON

Race 2 No2 IMMEDIATE EFFECT (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

IMMEDIATE EFFECT raced exclusively over 1400 metres last season, scoring at Wolverhampton and finishing a close second at Southwell. He moves up the distance ladder for this first run on turf, and he’s got all the boxes ticked.

Race 6 No9 VOLTAIC
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Matthew Slater

VOLTAIC has been found the block a few times but remains capable in this grade for a trainer that has had more AW runners than any other licence holder in history. He’s an enigmatic character, but recent results suggest he’s on the cusp of a return to winning ways.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 2 No6 DEIRA STORM
Trainer: Owen Burrows – Jockey: David Probert

Blue Point colt DEIRA STORM found trouble on his only start at Wolverhampton last December which might have cost him the race. That’s good form to build on and he makes winning appeal getting 7lb from the penalised Cosi Bello.

Race 5 No7 SAYIDAH HARD SPUN (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Hughes – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

After troubling the judge on her Ascot introduction, SAYIDAH HARD SPUN stretches out to 1200 metres on this switch to Polytrack. She’s shown an aptitude for the surface in her homework and has a good draw from which to obtain a handy early position, a factor which is so often the key to success at this course.
