HEREFORD

Race 1 No11 LYRICAL CHOICE (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: Stan Sheppard

LYRICAL CHOICE is carded to go off at a big double figure price which makes the Poet’sWord filly worth a speculative interest in this first division of the maiden hurdle. She’s troubled the judge in both bumper starts, latterly n her reappearance at Aintree where she might have finished closer but for taking a keen hold. Consequently her prospects today would brighten if she consents to settle.

Race 3 No2 CAN YOU HEAR ME (Each Way)
Trainer: Philip Hobbs – Jockey: Callum Pritchard

CAN YOU HEAR ME has been easy to back, but after chasing home a well regarded opponent at Lingfield has to be taken seriously on this third outing over hurdles. Most of the country received a pasting from Storm Bram yesterday, but if that’s had a bearing in softening the ground it shouldn’t bother this Vadamos gelding, who carries the colours of Grand National winner West Tip.

Race 7 No1 JAMAICAINE
Trainer: Neil Mulholland – Jockey: Richie McLernon

There was plenty of money about for JAMAICAINE before her late withdrawal at Ludlow last month and so a market check is recommended on the JP McManus-owned mare. Her form in eight starts over hurdles has been patchy to say the least, but as that was the first time she’s attracted support there’s every chance she is going to up her game.

HEXHAM

Race 1 No6 TRINITY STREET (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Daly – Jockey: David Bass

TRINITY STREET delivered on her only run in a point in Ireland before finishing second as a well supported favourite on her first outing under Rules at Carlisle. She ran into a useful rival in Lune Brillante on that occasion, and it’s unlikely there’s anything of that ability taking her on today.

Race 3 No5 KING GRIS
Trainer: Gordon Elliott – Jockey: Charlie Maggs

Should he show no ill effects from a run at Ayr on Tuesday, KING GRIS can make this a successful turnaround and he’s very hard to oppose. Elliott meant business when multi declaring him and TRUCKERS CROSSING who are looking to strike while the iron’s hot.

Race 5 No2 TRUCKERS CROSSING
Trainer: Gordon Elliott – Jockey: Carl Millar

TRUCKERS CROSSING has been plying his trade effectively at Ayr and should he turn out again this should be further meat and drink for the seven-year-old.

LEICESTER

Race 2 No7 WONDER OF THE SEAS (Each Way)
Trainer: Nigel Twistn-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

WONDER OF THE SEAS has a good record over fences when completing the course. He’s returning from an absence of a year following a breathing operation, which judging by the way he’s been working at Grange Farm has benefited him. He will handle the extreme conditions, and is one of the more interesting bets of the day.

Race 3 No7 ONEFOURNINE
Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Jonjo O’Neill Jr

As a winner of her only outing in a point-to-point ONEFOURNINE needs respecting. After a quiet start to the campaign her stable is starting to find some form, with the way she travels in the market likely to prove the main clue to her winning chance.

Race 5 No2 KICOUR LA (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

The way KICOUR LA hacked up in a maiden hurdle over course and distance last month suggests he’s one to follow, and this should prove an action replay for the penalised five-year-old. He could find HOT TO GO a troublesome opponent, with that horse also seeking to defy a penalty for his success on the same card.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 2 No1 ARETI
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

Several newcomers take the eye but this second leg of the novice can fall to the twice raced ARETI, whose first of two runs at Newmarket was highly encouraging. She didn’t quite match it on a return visit to HQ but nevertheless holds an experience edge over the field, as well as being perfectly positioned in the gate.

Race 3 No5 TENBOB TOMMY
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Charles Bishop

Bought out of the bargain basement, TENBOB TOMMY has shown with near misses at Brighton and Lingfield that he’s on the cusp of a breakthrough success. His trainer waited to let him race on sand, but this tall individual took to it perfectly and again encounters the Polytrack in what can result in an overdue triumph.

Race 4 No7 STARLIGHT SAMI
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

STARLIGHT SAMI bumped into a useful foe in Master Of Shanghai at Lingfield, but was starting to bear down on the winner at the finish. Loughnane is back in the saddle for what looks on paper to be a more straightforward assignment, though the selection does have to negotiate a tricky outside draw.

Race 7 No3 NEW YORK MINUTE (Nap)
Trainer: Joey Ramsden – Jockey: Hector Crouch

NEW YORK MINUTE has proved a perfect fit in getting Ramsden off the ground in his new training career, and the visored three-year-old can dispatch seven older opponents to stretch his winning sequence to four. He’s 3lb higher than for his latest win at Southwell, where the addition of a visor and move up to today’s two mile trip combined to assist his progression.
