BRIGHTON

Race 4 No4 BANKSMAN (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

BANKSMAN was a snug scorer at Lingfield on Saturday to make it two from his last two. He’s taken those exertions in his stride and escapes a penalty for this bid to complete a hat-trick. He doesn’t do a lot when he hits the front, but that trait is helping him as far as his treatment from the handicapper is concerned.

Race 5 No4 GRAND HARBOUR
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Dylan Hogan

A gamble on GRAND HARBOUR went astray at Bath when the gelding was one of the first to be ridden along. He remains at the mile and a quarter trip, with a different jockey and can show that the losses were merely lent.

Race 6 No3 FIGHTING POET (Each Way)
Trainer: Richard Phillips – Jockey: Miss Delphi Parkinson

FIGHTING POET is carded to go off at a huge price for the nightcap, but it could prove unwise to ignore him. The seven-year-old has recorded both is career successes at this course, and although well held in each of his three outings in 2025 can bounce back.

NEWTON ABBOT

Race 1 No3 JUGGERNAUT (Nap)
Trainer: Anthony Honeyball – Jockey: Mr Toby McCain-Mitchell

JUGGERNAUT hasn’t been since since the autumn, but on that occasion looked better the further he travelled to come home unchallenged. The six-year-old has a very good amateur Jockey doing the steering, and should win again.

Race 5 No6 LIMERICK LEADER
Trainer: Alison Thorpe – Jockey: James Bowen

LIMERICK LEADER was only denied in the last few strides on his return to fences at this track last time and remains at the two and a half mile distance while getting weight from each of his five opponents. Three weeks n he remains in good form, and can notch an overdue though deserved success.

NEWBURY

Race 1 No4 BOY GEORGE
Trainer: Dominic Ffrench Davis – Jockey: Ben Ffrench Davis

BOY GEORGE has upped his game by winning on both starts this year in which forcing tactics have paid off for the gelding. He’s treading a similar path to last year and looks a more assured operator on grass for his sporting owners who are very hopeful of seeing him deliver at their local course.

Race 2 No7 SUKANYA
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

SUKANYA has shown herself to be alert and on the case in her work and is one of the few precocious juveniles from West Ilsley. Bass has ridden her in plenty of work, and the combination should not be overlooked even though the race will do her some good.

Race 7 No1 ON EDGE
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan

ON EDGE has a very good run to win record over the last three seasons which reads five successes from 13 outings. On a first visit to this course he should enjoy it, and he’s fancied to step up,on a very pleasing first run back when placed at Windsor.
