BRIGHTON

Race 3 No7 POETIC FORCE (Nap)
Trainer: Tony Carroll – Jockey: Matthew Slater

POETIC FORCE did us a favour when scoring here over 1400 metres last month. He’s now in a better race, but still looks attractive getting up to 10lb from his rivals. His chances are further boosted by the 7lb claim of his apprentice pilot.

Race 5 No3 CHOURMO
Trainer: Mark Gillard – Jockey: John Egan

CHOURMO is a four times course winner dropping in grade after running well in a small field at Salisbury last time. He has the balance and brawn to make life difficult for paper favourite Twilight Guest.

MUSSELBURGH

Race 3 No7 I AM ME
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: PJ McDonald

Dandy Man colt I AM ME posted a midfield finish over course and distance last time but was only beaten two and a half lengths by the winner. He’s an unexposed individual whose draw on the rail assists his cause in taking on Castle Stuart and Individualism.

Race 6 No6 VINCE LE PRINCE
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

VINCE LE PRINCE has with two near misses signalled he’s more than ready for a breakthrough success. Other than Fletchers Dream his foes look beatable, and he will be hard to keep out of the shake-up.

Race 7 No6 SIXCOR ( Nap)
Trainer: Linda Perratt – Jockey: Kaiya Fraser

SIXCOR a has been a little quiet this season, but this looks a good chance for the seven times sprints winner to get back into the groove. He caught me eye when troubling the judge on his latest start at Wolverhampton which should have put him spot on for today.

CHELMSFORD CITY

Race 1 No7 BELGRAVIAN
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

BELGRAVIAN turned over a useful type at Doncaster in a performance that should have provided him with a confidence lift. The Make Believe gelding can follow-up at the expense of DEEP WATER BAY.

Race 5 No1 JABAARA
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

JANAARA was up with the pace throughout before bagging a Listed race at Musselburgh last time, and just needs to be alert at the gate as from stall 11 she might have to circumnavigate the entire field. She has a touch of class about here, and can parry the challenge of Miss Information.

Race 6 No6 BLINDEDBYTHELIGHTS (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

If Prescott was to have a Cesarewitch horse in his Heath House stables then BLINDEDBYTHELIGHTS could be the one. The last two years of his career has been blighted by injury, but he made a most encouraging first run back when second at the Newmarket Guineas meeting and has a pair of cheek pieces added here.
