CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 2 No5 LANGHOLM ( Each Way)

Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Connor Beasley

Course specialist LANGHOLM was too high in the weights, but after a string of duck eggs earlier in the season now finds himself back on a workable mark. The veteran gets on well with his rider, and their chance will increase if they can capitalise on a handy draw and go straight to the front.

NEWBURY

Race 1 No6 LAHAN KINGMAN (Nap)

Trainer: Richard Hughes – Jockey: William Buick

In an interesting juvenile heat with no evidence of the form book to go on LAHAN KINGDOM could prove the answer. I’ve had good reports about the Kingman filly, whose owner Jaber Abdullah has reinjected support into the industry and is doing especially well with his two-year-old team.

Race 2 No3 ISABELLA CASTILE ( Each Way)

Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

ISABELLA CASTILE was highly tried after breaking her maiden at Windsor last autumn. She ran well in each of her three outings earlier in the year and has scope for progression on this first run since May.

Race 6 No13 MOAB (Each Way)

Trainer: Henrietta Knight – Jockey: Jason Watson

Knight has prospered from the many successes of her largely low grade runners on the Flat that have served to make up for an underwhelming return to the jumps scene. She saddles an interesting candidate for this Class5 in MOAB, who  after joining her from Joseph O’Brien showed promise in three of his four starts over hurdles. The Camelot gelding was placed in both outings on the AW in Ireland and is fit for this first run since before Christmas.
