CHEPSTOW

Race 3 No2 BRIGHTWALTON
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Pat Dobbs

BRIGHTWALTON had to play second fiddle to Raison D’Etre at Sandown but his penalised rival might struggle to confirm the placings in this juvenile handicap. The selection appears to be progressing from race to race and has always looked the type to do well in the nursery sphere.

Race 4 No3 KALAMA SUNRISE (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rose Dawes

KALAMA SUNRISE has found a race that has cut up and on ground that should suit can return to winning ways. The Coulsty filly has enjoyed a bountiful campaign entailing four straight victories and two recent near-misses, whilst enjoying a nice break since her latest outing.

Race 6 No8 OUTER EDGE
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan

OUTER EDGE narrowly missed out at Ffos Las to post a best run of the season and finds himself in a race he can definitely win. He’s getting a handy weight allowance from his foes, and can post a first career success.

SALISBURY

Race 2 No9 UPSCALE (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: David Probert

UPSCALE underwhelmed at Chester where she didn’t act on the track, but the Kingman filly had previously run a blinder at Haydock and is now re-equipped with the hood she wore, making her a good bet to open her account.

Race 6 No5 FOX LEGACY
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Ryan Moore

FOX LEGACY wasn’t able to confirm the promise of his first run back when fourth on handicap bow at Thirsk but remains one of the nicer prospects at Freemason Lodge. He takes a considerable drop back in trip in this Class4, and with Ryan Moore an eye-taking booking can take care of business.

BEVERLEY

Race 4 No5 SOUND REASON (Nap)
Trainer: David O’Meara – Jockey: Ben Robinson

SOUND REASON has worked his way onto an attractive mark and is a horse that needs to be kept on the right side of. He finished with a wet sail, but too late, at Pontefract and then got too far detached at the same course after a poor start. He needs to be more switched on in the gate, and if so can get into the shake-up.

CHELMSFORD CITY

Race 4 No9 UNDER SEIGE (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

UNDER SEIGE is well in front of his opponents if bringing his best form to the table and should take this first division of the mile maiden on the way to better things.

Race 5 No7 URBAN LION
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

URBAN LION showed ability in a much better race at Newmarket before refusing to go into the stalls on his next visit to the track. The Zoustar gelding has shown plenty as well as responding well to tuition at the gate, and should put this one on the board.

WINDSOR

Race 4 No8 GALACTIC CHARM (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Bell – Jockey: George Rooke

GALACTIC CHARM posted a confidence-boosting triumph at Newmarket in which he came home unchallenged. Although taking a big step up the class ladder he can make it back-to-back successes.

Race 7 No8 AUSTRIAN THEORY (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

It’s not often you see Easterby saddle runners here and that’s one reason to side with AUSTRIAN THEORY, who on the basis of his latest earning run has settled into life at Habton Grange, and will be winning soon.
