SALISBURY
Race 3 No6 SLIPPER TIME (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Rhys Clutterbuck
SLIPPER TIME troubled the judge on debut at this course, but still looked green when beaten into fourth at Lingfield. This race will afford him a mark, but he’s more than capable of bouncing back if the penny has now dropped.
Race 4 No2 BRIGHLEE (Nap)
Trainer: David Menuisier – Jockey: Tom Marquand
Although she ultimately faded at Goodwood that was over 1400 metres and BRIGHLEE is bred to appreciate this slightly longer trip. The race was run after a near monsoon that made the ground heavy, and she might well enjoy competing on a faster surface today.
Race 5 No3 THANKYOU BARONESS
Trainer: Ilka Gansera-Leveque – Jockey: Benoit De La Sayette
Sea The Moon filly THANKYOU BARONESS was a clear cut scorer over this trip at Doncaster on ground that some of her sire’s progeny would not have been comfortable on. The performance has laid the foundations for a lucrative autumn for the selection, who has the versatility to relish the softer conditions that lie ahead.
Race 6 No5 KING OF THE SEA
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Tom Marquand
A race that went to the useful Fox Legacy 12 months ago can see KING OF THE SEA putting his best foot forward. The gelding’s confidence levels have shot up a gear, and though 7lb higher than for his recent Haydock triumph he can win again.
CHEPSTOW
Race 3 No8 SHOTGUN (Each Way)
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Cieren Fallon
SHOTGUN failed the menace on her Newbury introduction but the Advertise filly is far too well bred not to be able to put that blip behind her. She’s shown ability in her work and could offer up each way value against a couple of tough rivals in Boss Lady and Cloudbuster.
BEVERLEY
Race 3 No5 RUM THERAPY (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman
Although she weakened in the final 200 metres at York, that effort gained RUM THERAPY a mark from which she can prove more effective now pulled back to the minimum distance, and on her first run in a handicap.
Race 5 No3 SEA MASTER (Nap)
Trainer: Ruth Carr – Jockey: James Sullivan
In a race that has cut up, SEA MASTER can come out best in a tactical affair. He just lasted home to open his account at Hamilton and much will depend on whether he can obtain an uncontested lead, while also consenting to settle.
Race 6 No10 MR HEINZ
Trainer: Simon Whitaker – Jockey: Tom Eaves
MR HEINZ has shown with a couple of recent near misses that he’s back on a mark off which he can strike and today can be his day. He’s only 1lb higher than his last winning mark, while he handles grass as effectively as the all-weather and should be suited by the stiff climb to the line here.
CHELMSFORD CITY
Race 3 No7 MEDINILLA
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rose Dawes
A wide draw is a slight issue with MEDNILLA, but should be filly manage to get over to the rail and into a rhythm she should prove hard to peg back. The 1200 metres here suits front runners, and she’s been in especially good order at home.
Race 5 No7 MAJAZ (Nap)
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: Jim Crowley
MAJAZ cost her supporters when beaten over a shorter trip at Yarmouth but the daughter of Dubawi can be seen in a better light today by fencing off a twin attack on the contest from the Gosden stable in Glistening and newcomer Brontë Beach.
WINDSOR
Race 2 No8 HINCHINBROOKE (Each Way)
Trainer, Jane Chapple-Hyam – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa
HINCHINBROOKE is a maiden after four starts, but interestingly his best effort came over this trip at Newbury, and if happier returned to turf after an underwhelming showing at Southwell he could get into the shake-up at a double figure price.
Race 4 No8 HUSCAL (Nap)
Traiber: Charlie Hills – Jockey: Richard Kingscote
HUSCAL has taken a few races to live up to the early potential that saw him win on two of his first three starts as a juvenile. However, he looked unlucky in runnng when second at Doncaster on a best run of the current season, while a return to sprinting might also assist his cause.
Race 7 No1 ANDALEEP
Trainer: Daniel Kubler – Jockey: Richard Kingscote
Kubler holds claims with both his runners in an interesting nightcap but ANDALEEP is just preferred to LONDONER. the top weight is marvellously consistent, and can turn the tables on Silent Age, who finished just behind him at Wolverhampton.
