PONTEFRACT

Race1 No1 BLEEP TEST (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

A race that has cut up can fall to BLEEP TEST. As a past winner the Time Test has to concede 4lb to her two opponents but her form is very strong and this is a drop in class for her.

Race 4 No6 OVERTURE (Each Way)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

OVERTURE needs to better her recent efforts in order to strike a blow in this Listed feature, but the New Approach filly has needed a couple of outings to bring her forward, and is dangerous to dismiss against hat-trick seeker SANTORINI STAR.

Race 7 No2 MOUNT KING
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

MOUNT KING did not give his best when out of the money at Doncaster last time, but the chestnut should be more effective returned to this undulating track with its stiff finish and he can bounce back.

HEXHAM

Race 4 No7 RYEBRIDGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Sue Smith – Jockey: Peter Kavanagh

RYEBRIDGE had shown little but upped his game with a podium finish at Bangor last time. If he can progress from that, the lightly-raced gelding can challenge for the win.

Race 5 No4 CRACKING DESTINY (Each Way)
Trainer: Ewan Whillans – Jockey: Craig Nichol

Veteran CRACKING DESTINY made the frame in as good a race as this at Perth and has been given a chance by the assessor. Although he doesn’t win very often he is dangerous to dismiss and he can go well.

FFOS LAS

Race 3 No1 ARCTIC DAWN (Nap)
Trainer: Daniel Kubler – Jockey: David Egan

This looks a very good opening for ARCTIC DAWN who has run well in handicaps. The return to a maiden can be seen as a class drop for the grey, who won’t get many better chances.

Race 4 No6 MAYBE NOT
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

Handicap debutant MAYBE NOT showed good track craft when picking up a minor cheque at Chester. She’s still inexperienced, but surely has more to give over this 1400 metres.
