DONCASTER

Race 4 No4 TARRIANCE (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Baldng – Jockey: David Probert

TARRIANCE ran out a clear cut winner of his second start at Beverley and looked good value for the 7lb penalty he has to shoulder today. The son of Frankel rates a worthy favourite to follow-up on a galloping track that should suit him equally as well.

Race 5 No5 JIMMY SPEAKING (Each Way)
Trainer: Chris Dwyer – Jockey: Lewis Edmunds

JIMMY SPEAKING needs to show he stays a mile, but he was forced to cover more ground than any of the other runners when down the field at Chelmsford last time, and may be worth another chance against the well treated MOUNT KING, who is worth saving on.

Race 6 No9 SUGAR KANE (Each Way)
Trainer: Daniel Kubler – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

SUGAR KANE showed signs of promise in the three 2024 outings that gained her a handicap mark, and with Loughnane taking the eye on this seasonal return is worth monitoring for any market support.

SALISBURY

Race 2 No4 HOORNBLOWER
Trainer: Denis Coakley – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Two horses that haven’t stood much racing can dominate this Class5. HOVER was not beaten far at Newbury when returning from a protracted absence but though his claims are strong HOORNBLOWER’s match him. The selection had a good blow following his first run of the year at Lingfield, and will be straighter.

Race 4 No1 ITALICA
Trainer: Tom Dascombe – Jockey: Richard Kingscote

While it wasn’t the hottest of races ITALICA landed at Chepstow he did it without being challenged. The form has been boosted, and he’s another capable of shrugging off a 7lb penalty.

Race 6 No REDREDROBIN (Nap)
Trainer: Malcolm Saunders – Jockey: Jack Callan

REDREDROBIN has needed three outings to put her straight, and after a very good effort at Chepstow is ready to put her best foot forward. Not only does her capable rider take 7lb off her back, but she’s on a mark 5lb lower than for her previous win.
