SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No6 LOVING LOOK (Each Way)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Rob Hornby

LOVING LOOK faces a couple of well regarded foes in Russian Crescendo and Pique but makes appeal at her paper price on this seasonal reappearance. The daughter of Expert Eye put in a career best when storming home on her final 2024 start at Newmarket and was also successful on Polytrack. She is a very promising staying filly.

Race 5 No8 VENEZUELAN (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

VENEZUELAN raised his game when chasing home a decent foe at Lingfield back in November. There should be plenty of room for improvement from that second start, he has experience on sand and gets the 1600 metres trip well.

WETHERBY

Race 2 No9 COMA CLUSTER
Trainer: George Boughey – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

COMA CLUSTER was a slow burner in her juvenile season but having had time to develop and now in a different yard her ability is beginning to shine through. The Wootton Bassett filly finished second on handicap bow at Nottingham two weeks ago and has a good opportunity to open her account in the famous Niarchos silks.

Race 5 No11 MANILA THRILLER (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Connor Beasley

MANILA THRILLER was a well-supported scorer on her return to action at Nottingham and could get her chance boosted if the filly she beat Coma Cluster runs well here earlier on. She was highly tried after landing a seller at Chester and shouldn’t be inconvenienced by this drop back to 1400 metres, a trip at which she has won.
