GOODWOOD

Race 2 No9 STELLAR SUNRISE (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

With experience of this course already on his CV, STELLAR SUNRISE is the go to colt in this novice over 1200 metres. He was green and should have learned plenty, while the cut in the ground should hold no perils for him.

Race 4 No1 ANNA SWAN
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Cieren Fallon

With most of the stock from Sir Michael Stoute’s Freemason Lodge stables already having won for their current handlers, here’s a chance for ANNA SWAN to join them. The Almanzor filly showed versatility to win of fast and soft ground before underwhelming on her first run back in the Pretty Polly (Listed) at Newmarket. With the benefit of that under her belt, she can raise her game.

Race 5 No10 AGGAGIO
Trainer: Gray Moore – Jockey: Ashley Lewis

AGGAGIO has knocked on the door on his latest two starts, latterly over this course and distance. This race could be run to suit, presenting him with the opportunity to arrive late on the scene from his tempting place at the base of the handicap.

Race 6 No2 HAMISH
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Soft ground specialist HAMISH has conditions rank in his favour for this seasonal return. He is clear top on official ratings, whilst more than capable of adding the Listed contest to his eight triumphs at Group 3 level. He’s getting longer in the tooth, but has been on good form at home for this first run in over 200 days.

PERTH

Race 3 No2 THE LAST CLOUD (Nap)
Trainer: P Neville – Jockey: Brian Hughes

As the least exposed member of the 12-strong field THE LAST CLOUD needs respecting. The grey dotted up in a maiden hurdle over course and distance and has improved with each race. He looks fairly treated for this first run in a handicap.

Race 5 No8 BALLINTUBBER BOY
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

From the base of the weights BALLINTUBBER BOY needs a second look in this three miles Perth Gold Cup. Having made a promising return last month, the selection is now equipped with a tongue strap to assist his breathing, as well as a visor.
