ASCOT

Race 2 No4 GETREADYTORUMBLE (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

In a step up in class, GETREADYTORUMBLE a an extend his impressive earning run. The grey was gaining a third win of the season with a career best at Doncaster when displaying his liking for cut in the ground. He jumps from Class3 to Listed, but is in great form, and can get into the argument in a very open race.

Race 3 BETMGM CUMBERLAND LODGE STAKES (Group 3)

No1 AL QAREEM
Trainer: Karl Burke – Jockey: Clifford Lee

Hamish and AL QAREEM have between them won the last three runnings of this historic race. The latter can make it 3-1 over his veteran foe to complete a magnificent hat-trick of triumphs as he excels on the easier ground through the autumn and is taking a class drop from his solid third place finish in the Irish St Leger. HAMISH is unbeaten in his last three starts and can form the other side of the exacta in a match-up to savour.

Race 4 JOHN GUEST RACING BENGOUGH STAKES (Group 3)

No3 APOLLO ONE (Nap)
Trainer: Peter Charalambous – Jockey: Paul Mulrennan

History can repeat itself again with APOLLO ONE backing up his fine success in the same race 12 months ago. The chestnut has endured a fruitless campaign, but the best is almost certainly yet to be seen of him. His staying on second in the Portland at Doncaster is proof positive the seven-year-old is now fully primed for a race that’s been his target all along.

NEWMARKET

Race 2 No15 HALF SOVEREIGN (Nap)
Trainer: Karl Burke – Jockey: Sam James

HALF SOVEREIGN a a continue her imperious progress by making this valuable Sales race the completion of a nap hand of victories. The Ten Sovereigns filly went from gate to wire to land a hot nursery at Doncaster and faces many in this big field who appear outclassed. With so many bit players against her, the favourite should make no mistake.

Race 3 BETMGM SUN CHARIOT STAKES (Group 1)

No8 BLUE BOLT (Each Way)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Colin Keane

FALLEN ANGEL posted a fourth Group 1 success in the Matron at Leopardstown and along with the Godolphin runner CINDERELLA’S DREAM sets a high bar for the others to aim at. The latter bagged the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket in July and has shown before that after an underwhelming effort such as that at Deauville last time she can bounce back. If there’s one in here that could cause a minor upset it is BLUE BOLT. She’s been progressive and should have made it four on the bounce when edged out by Lady Of Spain at Sandown after giving away a lot of ground by racing wide. Now in a Group 1 after that Group 3, she could find the progression to avenge the defeat.

Prediction: 1st BLUE BOLT, 2nd Cinderella’s Dream, 3rd Fallen Angel

Race 7 No9 BINT MOHAATHER
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: James Doyle

BINT MOHAATHER needs to be taking seriously getting weight from all eight foes in this Class3 fillies’ handicap. She’s knocked at the door in a select campaign since breaking her maiden on the AW, and is a fresher and less exposed candidate than most of the others.

REDCAR

Race 4 WILLIAM HILL TWO YEAR OLD TROPHY (Listed)

No16 ARGENTINE TANGO (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

SONG OF THE CLYDE represents a trainer who is red hot in this type of race and is a worthy favourite. The Sergei Prokofiev colt brings rock solid claims to the table but ARGENTINE TANGO is a tempting alternative granted her much bigger price. The selection has competed at a high level throughout the season, twice making the frame in Group races. She ran well in the Group 3 Firth Of Claude at Ayr, and is fancied to trouble the best of them in this course’s biggest race of the season.

Race 5 No10 ELIM (Each Way)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Connor Beasley

ELIM makes a late entrance to the fray but can make an impression on this first outing in almost a year. The Make Believe mare looked unfortunate not to win in a select campaign last year, culminating in a second in a Doncaster Group 3 and third when heavily supported in the October Stakes (Listed) at Ascot. With her ability to go well fresh, the five-year-old needs taking seriously against paper favourite VOLTERRA.

Race 8 No12 COPPER KNIGHT (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

The remarkable COPPER KNIGHT will make a 109th appearance for Easterby on a first ever visit to Redcar. The York specialist showed with his good run in defeat at Ripon last week that he’s still got plenty to offer, and this track should suit him.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 3 No2 PAPA COCKTAIL (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

A wide draw could make life difficult for PAPA COCKTAIL, but should he obtain cover this springer with a trademark late thrust can get into the shake-up. He’s maintained a good level of form, but as he’s always ridden cold he needs things to drop right at the business end of his races.

Race 4 No13 KEEP TALKING (Each Way)
Trainer: Stan Moore – Jockey: Kieren O’Neill

There’s not much of Mohaather filly KEEP TALKING, but she ran well to a point when claiming a minor cheque over a slightly shorter trip here last month and is drawn to go well at a working man’s price.
