CHEPSTOW

Race 2 No6 SUNSHINE AND ROSES
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

SUNSHINE AND ROSES can go well in a race that has cut up. The Massaat filly put in a nice piece of work on Friday to indicate she is ready for an introduction that sees her clash with three runners from the Ollie Sangster stable.

Race 6 No3 SAN FRANCISCO BAY (Each Way)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

SAN FRANCISCO BAY needed his first run back at Leicester and should do better in the colours of his trainer. He’s in a weak race, in which any money for Hurtle or Alice’s Impact could prove worth noting.

CARLISLE

Race 1 No13 TERRITORIAL STAR (Each Way)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: PJ McDonald

Territories filly TERRITORIAL STAR is number 13 and has drawn the same gate number in a restricted maiden where she is among only two females taking on males. There are good vibes from Middleham about her, suggesting she could be one to cause problems to hot favourite Dapper Charm.

Race 3 No10 BOLLIN NEIL
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Tom Kiely-Marshall

BOLLIN NEIL was winless in only four starts in 2024 but won over hurdles in the winter. Even though having more in front of him than behind, he wasn’t beaten far when returning to Flat duty at this course and could prove a danger to all if progressing from that.

Race 7 No4 POET’S DAWN (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

Back-to-back near misses make POET’S DAWN a go to horse in this Class5. He’s got his favoured easy conditions and deserves a change of luck, having been grabbed only in the final strides at Ripon last month.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 5 No1 INQUISITION (Nap)

It’s hard to get inspired by this card, although INQUISITION looks one to be with following her near miss on handicap bow at Yarmouth last week. She now tackles a more suitable mile and a quarter, and has the potential to go one better.

WINDSOR

Race 2 No16 WHO IS ALICE (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

Kameko filly WHO IS ALICE was clueless on her debut at Chelmsford but has benefitted greatly from the experience. Her high draw could end up being advantageous, and with improvement on the cards she needs to be taken seriously.

Race 3 No2 RIVER KING (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Sean Levey

Connections of the promising RIVER KING have resisted going for a handicap with the King Of Change colt who was scratched from his race at Sandown on Saturday. He should be more at home on this faster surface, and it will take something decent to stop him opening his account.
