RIPON

Race 4 No3 HIGH OPINION (Each Way)
Trainer: Bryan Smart – Jockey: Andrew Breslin

HIGH OPINION was a winner over the course and distance last season and on latest start back at this track served notice with a podium finish that he’s ready to return to winning ways. He’s narrowly preferred to DOTHAN, for whom excuses can be made for a recent heavy defeat. He’s better than that and looks well worth saving on.

Race 5 No5 GRAND HARBOUR (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

Any monies list of GRAND HARBOUR on his latest two outings should be recouped in this stayers’ handicap. The Haafhd gelding hails from a stable that took out the corresponding race 12 months ago, while the step up to a mile and a half might prove key to him as he looked short of pace when popular in the market for his two handicap outings at Bath and Brighton.

WORCESTER

Race 3 No7 BETTY’S TIARA (Nap)
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Ben Jones

BETTY’S TIARA abets cheek pieces added in this novices’ hurdle after running well in defeat in better company. Although up against a three times scorer in Stumps Or Slips this is a drop in class for the Kayf Tara mare who should take care of business.

Race 4 No3 MY CHIQUITA
Trainer: Ben Brookhouse – Jockey: J M Quinlan

The most interesting runner on this card is My CHIQUITA. The Postponed mare is not only a course and distance winner, but comes here on the back of a very encouraging run in the Flat. That Newmarket effort has put the cutting edge on her for what should prove a victorious return to hurdles.

Race 6 No2 JANWORTH
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

JANWORTH looks the go to horse in this handicap hurdle given the fact she is unlucky not to be unbeaten this season. Her two successes book ended an unfortunate spill, and she was impressive over this course and distance last time. So much so in fact that the assessor handed her an 8lb rise, but it’s one she can take in her stride.

AYR

Race 5 No5 ARABIAN COBRA (Nap)
Trainer: Hugo Palmer – Jockey: Harry Davies

It’s hard to get away from ARABIAN COBRA as the grey attempts to complete a hat-trick. He’s looked a different horse since switching to grass, and if in the same mood as when scoring at Chester last month will be hard to beat.

Race 7 No4 TRAIS FLUORS (Each Way)
Trainer: Lina Perrett – Jockey: Kaiya Fraser

A one time Group winner in France, TRAIS FLUORS mixes it at the bottom rung of the handicap ladder these days, but in spite of increasing years is capable of causing a ripple on his return from a mid season break. The eleven-year-old has won when coming off an absence before, and it was at this track that he earned on his previous start at the beginning of May.
