AYR

Race 3 No5 PLATINUM GIRL
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Sean Kirrane

PLATINUM GIRL put in a pleasing first effort back when second at Thirsk and now has the addition of a first-time hood. The Ardad filly can hot the board for a stable that’s usually at its operational best in the mid-summer weeks.

Race 4 No2 POL ROGER (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Dods – Jockey: Connor Beasley

From a stable that plundered the big handicap at Ascot on Saturday, POL ROGER can show with a third win of the year that there’s no substitute for consistency. He loves this course, and as a horse that runs consistently to his mark can outpoint the improving Curran.

SOUTHWELL

Race 3 No8 ONE MORE WAVE
Trainer: Jonny Portman – Jockey: Rob Hornby

ONE MORE WAVE finished in the money on his only previous visit to this track back in March and is a winner this season at Wolverhampton. He attracted a lot of support when third to Habooba on his latest start at Kempton and is out to recoup those losses as one of the least exposed in this field.

Race 5 No2 ALL GREEK TO ME
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

Ulysses gelding ALL GREEK TO ME has knocked on the door on his last two starts, doing nothing wrong behind Rogue King at Wolverhampton in a pair of cheek pieces. The headgear is retained in this tricky affair, in which he can stave off the challenges of Sun Dancer Girl and Bittalemon.

Race 6 No3 AT VIMIERO (Nap)
Trainer: Jane Chapple-Hyam – Jockey: Jonny Peate

For a horse of his ability, it’s taken AT VIMIERO a long time to put points on the board, but this is his best chance yet. If the Sea The Stars gelding reacts positively to what is his first run on the all-weather he should take care of business.

Race 7 No4 LEGEND OF KINGS
Trainer: James Ferguson – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

LEGEND OF KINGS is well drawn in this interesting contest in which he steps up the distance ladder. The son of Camelot should leave with a cheque of some kind after this match-up with Eavestone, who unlike the selection is coming back off a long absence.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 5 No3 TAMBOURINE DREAM (Nap)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Ross Coakley

Etretat has squandered a few chances, and though sure to run well might be worth opposing with TAMBOURINE DREAM. The Cracksman filly raised her game when finishing second on her first handicap run at Kempton and should have more to give on what is only her fifth career outing.

Race 7 No11 POST MISTRESS (Each Way)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

POST MISTRESS interests me racing from the base of the weights for a trainer that can certainly ready one. Her progress has only been marginal, but a return to an all-weather surface can help bring about the improvement needed for her to at least trouble the judge.

WINDSOR

Race 3 No4 CHORUS (Nap)
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Tom Marquand

CHORUS can use her experience edge to prevent Soprillo making a winning debut. The selection has posted earning runs at Grade 1 courses in two starts this season, looking happier when moved up to this mile-and-a-quarter trip at Sandown. On that evidence, she’s a worthy favourite, although the betting suggests otherwise.

Race 4 No4 ELMONJED
Trainer: William Haggas – Jockey: Jim Crowley

On what could be a good night for Somerville Lodge, ELMONJED is the go-to horse in this sprint handicap. The gelded son of Blue Point was unbeaten in two in 2023 and has shown with a couple of solid runs at York this year that he’s on the cusp of a return to the winner’s circle. The cheekpieces he wore for the first time on the Knavesmire last month are retained.
