CHEPSTOW

Race 3 No3 CONNIE’S ROSE (Nap)
Trainer: Grace Harris – Jockey: Ray Dawson

CONNIE’S ROSE signalled with her second over course and distance last week that she’s on the verge of a return to winning ways. The mare is a six times winner here, and in a very good place to make it number seven.

Race 6 No4 FISHERMANS COTTAGE
Trainer: Malcolm Saunders – Jockey: William Carson

FISHERMANS COTTAGE has done most of his racing at Bath and didn’t fare well on his only previous visit here. However, he’s knocked on the door on each of his last three outings, and can take the spoils at the main expense of Darkened Edge.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 3 No1 SHIPLAKE (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Hills – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

Lope De Vega colt SHIPLAKE landed some good bets at Newcastle last November when he took an instant liking to the Tapeta surface. He’s got room for progression on just a third career start, and can win again.

Race 6 No8 BINT MOHAATHER
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Connor Beasley

Though lacking experience, BINT MOHAATHER is of particular interest in this restricted maiden as her trainer’s only runner of the day. She was one place away from a frame finish on her only start last September and has shown promise at home, having skipped a good opportunity last week to wait for this.

WINDSOR

Race 4 No1 ZOULU CHIEF (Nap)
Trainer: Heather Main – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

Although he’s been in the grip of the handicapper, ZOULU CHIEF has at last been given a chance, and a return to one of his favoured courses together with a small field can combine to see him return to winning ways.

Race 6 No4 TWILIGHT MOON
Trainer: Marcus Tregoning – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

TWILIGHT MOON did not enjoy the clearest of runs when second on her latest start at Bath. Although she’s had a few chances, the Adaay filly stretches out to a mile and a half, which can prove key to an overdue first success.

Race 7 No4 JET BLACK
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

With the champion jockey on her back, JET BLACK can take out a nightcap that is certain to become tactical. The Kodiac filly showed a liking for quicker conditions when opening her account at Redcar and a similar surface awaits her this evening.
