LEICESTER

Race 3 No11 SYDNEY ROCK (Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

SYDNEY ROCK hails from a good staying family, and having been unlucky not to put her head in front can achieve that at the third time of asking. The daughter of Australia ran into one on the Wolverhampton Tapeta but will enjoy switching to grass, with a top northern pilot in her irons.

Race 4 No9 PULL THE RUG
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

PULL THE RUG is marginally preferred to SPACEWOMAN in this fillies’ nursery. The selection was beaten just a length when third in a blanket finish to her first run in a handicap and should enjoy stepping up to 1200 metres. Spacewoman gave away a lot of ground by running wide on her latest outing and should also benefit from a move into handicaps.

Race 7 No1 SECRET SONATA
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Callum Hutchinson

Although easy to back, SECRET SONATA ran well to trouble the judge at Southwell to earn for the third time in as many starts. She got the 1400 metres well, and can do well on her first handicap assignment.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 2 No6 MIDNIGHT JEWEL
Trainer: Charlie Longsdon – Jockey: Lily Pinchin

MIDNIGHT JEWEL jumped well for Pinchin when third at Worcester which was a clear sign he’s getting close to winning again. His main asset is his accurate jumping, which can be used to maximum effect on this sharp figure-of-eight circuit.

Race 5 No4 FADED FANTASY (Nap)
Trainer: Christian Williams – Jockey: Jack Tudor

FADED FANTASY looks the pick of three runners from his stable and returns to fences from a much more favourable mark than he is as a hurdler. His Newton Abbot triumph shows his liking for an easy course, and he’s going to post with strong claims to make it a first win over fences.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No12 SUNSHINE AND ROSES (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

Anywaythewindblows sets the standard for the others to aim at, but at a longer price SUNSHINE AND ROSES is worth a bet. Her second over 1400 metres at Lingfield was a career best, while she ran into a smart rival that day. She’s bred to enjoy this step up to an extended mile and has been in good form at home.

Race 4 No6 ARLECCHINO’S REX (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Tyler Heard

The consistent ARLECCHINO’S REX a can enjoy a welcome change of luck in the first division of this bottom grade handicap. He was in a stronger race when taking away a minor cheque at Southwell but has run some of his best races at Dunstall Park.

Race 8 No9 THIS TIME MAYBE (Nap)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: George Bass

Bass gets on well with THIS TIME MAYBE a who should be forgiven his poor run here three weeks ago. The Lingfield scorer is also a winner here, and from the base of the weights can give a good account.
