PONTEFRACT

Race 2 No3 ATTENTION SEEKER
Trainer: Harry Eustace – Jockey: Kaiya Fraser

Home-bred ATTENTION SEEKER has earned on his last two of three starts and now enters the handicap arena. He has more scope for improvement than his more exposed rivals, and should go well in the colours of Jeff Smith.

Race 3 No1 DAYDREAMA (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

Any of the five can win this Listed feature but DAYDREAMA brings with him a value element as the outsider of the party. The Dream Ahead colt opened his account at this course in July and has been optimistically campaigned subsequently. He was a 50-1 shot when beaten into third in a blanket finish to a Sales race at York in which he was short of room and looked unlucky.

Race 4 No6 POWDERING (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

POWDERING scored on Polytrack in September before making the podium in a Class2 sprint at Newmarket. The mare again ran well to earn at Kempton last week, and has a cracking draw for her in-form trainer. She will handle the ground, and can again trouble the judge.

BATH

Race 3 No6 SHETALKSTOANGELS (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

SHETALKSTOANGELS brings Ascot form to the party after finding only one too good for her on debut there. She will encounter better ground which should suit this Lope De Vega filly, who hails from a good family of stayers and represents top connections.

Race 6 No3 ON EDGE
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan

ON EDGE gained a deserved success over this course and distance to end a sequence of near misses. He’s been raised 3lb but has a good slot in the gate and is more likely to run up to his form than most of his opponents.

Race 8 No8 CELTIC JOHN
Trainer: Pat Phelan – Jockey: Rhys Clutterbuck

CELTIC JOHN raised his game when troubling the judge for the first time in ten starts at Brighton. The cut n the ground appeared to suit him, and should the forecast ran arrive it will further boost his chances of going one better.

PLUMPTON

Race 5 No4 NAP HAND (Nap)
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Tom Cannon

The one that stands out on a poor card for wagering is NAP HAND, who is on a recovery mission after some bets went astray on him over course and distance last time. With his knowledge of the course he can add to his trainer’s good record here.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 1 No4 BLUE JAY WAY (Nap)
Trainer: John Riches – Jockey: Ethan Tindall

BLUE JAY WAY did not go unbacked when opening his account in soft conditions at Catterick. He finds himself in a similar scenario today, racing on a tight left-handed track and from a very good draw. He can hold onto that winning feeling, and looks worth following now that the penny has dropped.

Race 3 No1 VISUALLY
Trainer: Clive Cox – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

There was much to like about the way VISUALLY went in at the first time of asking when overcoming signs of inexperience to score at Bath. He’s burdened with a penalty for his troubles, but should go forward on this different terrain, and he’s a confident choice to remain unbeaten.

Race 4 No7 RETURN OF THE GODS
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

RETURN OF THE GODS brings good course form to the table following his podium finish on debut here earlier in the month. The Tasleet colt is going to be more streetwise for this clash with Noble Vow, and can open his account.
