CARLISLE

Race 1 No4 PROFESSOR KLUMP
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Theo Gillard

Although carrying his owner’s second colours, PROFESSOR KLUMP can outpoint stablemate Just Gino. The selection picked up his first cheque when third at Ayr in early January which indicates he is benefitting from a recent wind operation. Just Gino was supported only to underwhelm behind Classic Lord at Bangor. I expect him to leave that form behind, and is probably the right one to couple with the selection in an exacta.

Race 6 No5 BETTER GETALONG
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Callum Bewley

Booster Bob will be a tough nut the track as he attempts to stretch his unbeaten sequence this season to four. However, he faces a doughty opponent in BETTER GETALONG, who came back from a seven-month absence to score at Ayr. He’s looked happier since returning to hurdles and can add to his laurels.

Race 7 No4 KISS MY FACE
Trainer: Brian Ellison – Jockey: Henry Brooke

KISS MY FACE enjoys the benefit of a recent spin on the all-weather, having troubled the judge on his latest hurdling start at Musselburgh. Brooke knows how to get the best tune out of the selection, having guided him to each of his two triumphs over jumps.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 1 No3 MONKS MEAD
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Rab Havlin

Usher has some interesting chances and MONKS MEAD is taken to launch and across-the-card double for the trainer. The grey earned in back-to-back Class 4s after scoring at this level at Chelmsford. He will appreciate the ease in grade.

Race 4 No6 TEN O’CLOCK
Trainer: Jamie Osborne – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

Osborne can back up her recent high-profile successes in Dubai and Qatar by taking out this sprint with TEN O’CLOCK. The daughter of Ardad put in a career-best when narrowly denied at Lingfield for which compensation could well await.

Race 7 No3 JUDGE FRANK (Nap)
Trainer: Heather Main – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

As the only winner in the field Cracking Gold is entitled to respect, but at the respective prices JUDGE FRANK is preferred. His length and a quarter defeat by Group 2 winner Iberian at Newbury is outstanding form for the Inns Of Court gelding to bring to the table, and though he couldn’t back in up in two subsequent outings he’s worked well ahead of this AW debut.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No5 ARLECCHINO’S GIFT
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: Olivia Tubb

This can see ARLECCHINO’S GIFT gaining a deserved return to the winner’s circle. Following three near-misses over course and distance he can use his track craft to deliver under a change of jockey.

Race 4 No3 SEE THAT STORM
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Rob Hornby

SEE THAT STORM has been sent off short for both his career starts, winning on introduction at Lingfield before being denied by Lavender Hill Mob at the same venue. He looks ready for this step up the distance ladder, and can bounce back.

Race 5 No3 SUPER HIT (Nap)
Trainer: Marco Botti – Jockey: Marco Ghiani

SUPER HIT landed some good bets when winning at odds-on on his second start at Chelmsford. The Too Darn Hot colt has the most scope for progression and looks sure to enjoy stretching out to this extended mile.
