AYR
Race 5 No3 DAWN OF LIBERATION
Trainer: Ruth Carr – Jockey: Warren Fentiman
It took a while for the penny to drop for DAWN OF LIBERATION when he joined Carr, but the Churchill gelding suddenly bloomed this year with victories at Beverley, Nottingham and York. He’s grazed the woodwork on his last two outings and has a great chance to get the job done against mainly out of form opponents.
Race 7 No5 DWINDLING FUNDS (Nap)
Trainer: Jim Goldie – Jockey: Paul Mulrennan
The completion of a hat-trick is on the cards for DWINDLING FUNDS, who came out of the wilderness to post his successes at this course and Hamilton, and probably hasn’t finished.
KEMPTON PARK
Race 1 No3 TORBAY
Trainer: Emma Lavelle – Jockey: David Probert
It was only in a three runner affair that TORBAY opened her account on handicap debut at Ffos Las but she did it with something to spare, making her a worthy favourite to follow-up in the opening nursery, in which she is the clear form pick.
Race 2 No1 LOUIE THE LEGEND
Trainer: Dylan Cu ha – Jockey: Kyle Strydom
LOUIE THE LEGEND had been unwanted in the market on each of his first four starts, but landed some good bets when getting off the mark at Nottingham. With that success under his belt he has his tail up, and can successfully concede weight all round against three fellow recent winners.
Race 5 No1 PRINCESS RASCAL (Nap)
Trainer: Oliver Cole – Jockey: Rossa Ryan
The best bet on the card is PRNCESS RASCAL, who missed out on an opportunity last week but looks to have been found a better race. The Pinatubo filly closed all the way to the line but left it too late on her return to action here and is open to progression on what is just her fourth career start.
WINDSOR
Race 2 No6 WREN RUNNER
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy
Kameko filly WREN RUNNER faces strong competition from Gwen John, but represents value against that rival after upping her game to finish second in a similar race here last time. She’s drawn alongside the favourite, and it all points to the pair forming the exacta.
Race 4 No1 BADRI
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Lewis Edmunds
Lincolnshire traveller BADRI needs to overcome a wide draw, but if doing so can confirm his recent superiority over Inishfallen. The Dark Angel gelding has run nicely into form, and though edging up the weights can win again, with CHIEF MANKATO one to have a saver on.
Race 5 No1 JAX EDGE (Nap)
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan
JAX EDGE can spark a good night for her trainer by ending a run of seconditis in this fillies’ handicap. She was edged out on her latest start over the course and distance two weeks ago but is going to give it a good shot, and deserves a change of luck.
Race 6 No8 DARKENED EDGE
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan
DARKENED EDGE scored at Chepstow and consolidated by earning on the all-weather for a small stable that does well with its sprinters. The daughter of recently deceased stallion Cable Bay has solid credentials on her favoured fast ground.
