WINDSOR

Race 4 No9 STEELY DAN (Each Way)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Callum Shepherd

STEELY DAN hasn’t shown much in two starts but is a well related individual who is in the right hands to improve with experience. This will earn him a mark, but if starting near his colossal paper price he’s worth a speculative investment.

Race 5 No12 DALMALLY (Nap)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

From the same stable DALMALLY rates the best bet on this card. Since breaking his maiden on his final start in 2024 the three-year-old has frequently earned and this looks his best opportunity yet. He made a bold attempt to lead all the way at Epsom last time but now tackles a shorter trip, while the cut in the ground will be in his favour.

Race 7 No10 SAFARI DREAM
Trainer: Rod Millman – Jockey: George Wood

It’s hard to run your pen through the names of any in this tightly knit sprint handicap, but SAFARI DREAM commands respect following his three successes this season and second at Bath last time. The money that followed him went west but he still put in a good effort, and he has a good chance to recoup the losses.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 2 No1 REGAL CHARM (Nap)
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

REGAL CHARM opened her account at Newmarket where she incurred a 7lb penalty. The King Of Change filly finds herself in a warm novice but she’s going to enjoy stretching out to a mile and a quarter against a probable improver in Aphrodite Spirit.

Race 4 No5 DARKENED EDGE (Each Way)
Trainer: Christopher Mason – Jockey: Gina Mangan

DARKENED EDGE landed some good bets on her only success of the season at Chepstow and wasn’t beaten far when fifth over this course and distance last month. You could have thrown a blanket over the principals on that occasion, and granted luck in running she holds strong claims to get into the argument again.

Race 5 No2 HARRYELLA
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

HARRYELLA toyed with the opposition when scoring over this course and distance two weeks ago to earn an 8lb rise from the assessor. While operating at this level it’s had to ignore his claims, and for a stable that’s very much amongst the winners he can go in again.

PERTH

Race 2 No2 KING ROLEY (Nap)
Trainer: Mickey Bowen – Jockey: James Bowen

KING ROLEY can confirm his superiority over Garde Des Champs in what should prove a good rematch between the pair. The Nap represents a trainer who has made great strides in a relatively short time, and while he would probably benefit from racing over a longer trip he’s very much the go-to horse in this.

Race 4 No4 SAINT ARVANS (Each Way)
Trainer: Maurice Barnes – Jockey: Charlie Price

SAINT ARVANS hasn’t won for over two years but there are grounds to think he can turn back the clock as he bled on his latest run, and has been given a freshening break that should have done him the world of good.

Race 5 No6 MALANGEN
Trainer: Lisa Harrison – Jockey: Peter Kavanagh

Some strong on course support followed MALANGEN on his latest outing at Hexham where he failed to cope with the challenge of Gemini Man. He’s back over his optimum distance of two and a half miles today, while this track has proved rewarding for him over the years.

NEWCASTLE

Race 6 No12 BLUE JAY WAY (Each Way)
Trainer: John Riches – Jockey: Sean Kirrane

Bargain basement purchase BLUE JAY WAY put in a good run when just out of the money on his latest start at Catterick when not well drawn. He has cheek pieces added today, and could make the necessary progression to post a first career triumph.

Race 7 No7 MISSION IN MALTON (Nap)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan

Fifteen race maiden MISSION IN MALTON can shake off that tag in a race that looks set up for him. There’s been improvement race to race in the blinkered Nap, who after dead heating for second at Southwell finds himself in A1 position to open his account.
