DONCASTER
Race 4 No3 DISPLAYING (Nap)
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Oisin Murphy
There’s a good chance DISPLAYING would have prevailed but for hitting traffic problems at Goodwood to the extend he is a winner without a penalty. Consequently he’s only gone up by 1lb, and should make no mistake in a race that’s cut up in his favour.
Race 6 No1 TROPICAL HEAT
Trainer: Clive Cox – Jockey: Saffie Osborne
TROPICAL HEAT has her tongue tied down for her first run in a handicap as well as retaining a jockey who knows her. Even though she was a tad disappointing last time, the Mohaather filly is of serious interest in a race that’s there for the taking.
YARMOUTH
Race 2 No3 DARETOBEDIFFERENT (Nap)
Trainer: D Donovan – Jockey: Rob Hornby
Starman filly DARETOBEDIFFERENT can play the experience card to winning effect in this maiden. An early foal, she has troubled the judge in both starts and has a good draw from which she should prove hard to stop.
CARTMEL
Race 3 No4 ANDYS FLAME
Trainer: John McConnell – Jockey: Mr B T Stone
Fairlawne Flyer has to command respect in his bid to make this a nap hand of victories but as a value alternative Kelso winner ANDYS FLAME makes appeal on a return mission from Ireland. It was by the narrowest of margins that he got home that day, but he’s thrived for a short break and is almost double the price of his opponent.
Race 5 No6 CULLIGRAN (Nap)
Trainer: John O’Shea – Jockey: Kielan Woods
CULLIGRAN represents a Newton Abbot race that has worked out, whilst having just a third outing over fences this afternoon. The sharp track should play to her strengths, while a rise in the weights of 2lb shouldn’t stop her.
NEWCASTLE
Race 2 No2 ESTRELLA DIVINA
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand
For a filly that hits the ground hard a run on the all weather might prove best for ESTRELLA DIVINA. A equine giant, she will surely have benefited from a largely educational ride at Yarmouth and is well regarded in the pecking order at West Ilsley.
Race 3 No1 EXCELLENT BELIEVE (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: William Buick
EXCELLENT BELIEVE scored by five lengths at Nottingham and after being bought back at the London Sale can defy a penalty on the way to much better things. He looks banker material and should be followed.
NEWMARKET
Race 1 No4 MOOD QUEEN
Trainer: Richard Hughes – Jockey: Hollie Doyle
MOOD QUEEN served up a promising first effort when second to the smart Nandita. Whilst bred to enjoy going further in due course, she looks to have the precocity to go one better and will be a lot more streetwise.
Race 5 No6 MINI MAC
Trainer: Christine Dunnett – Jockey: Benoit De La Sayette
MINI MAC wasn’t beaten far when amongst the roughies for her latest start here, and as he’s representing a small yard has been generously priced up. There’s every chance he can get into the shake-up.
Race 6 No8 DAPPER GUEST (Nap)
Trainer: George Margarson – Jockey: JohnEgan
DAPPER GUEST caught the eye finishing strongly at Windsor, and although struggling to better that run at Newmarket then made no mistake returned to the July course. He’s out for a quick follow-up, and under a 6lb penalty can achieve it.
