EPSOM DOWNS

Race 1 No3 WHO IS ALICE (Nap)
Traner: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

WHO IS ALICE bolted up under an enterprising ride at Chepstow only to do too much in front over this 1400 metres trip at Newbury. On an easy track which will suit her racing style she’s not one to give up on, and can bounce back with the assistance of a new pilot in her saddle.

Race 3 No3 WINGED MESSENGER
Trainer: Julie Camacho – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Ryan’s booking for northern raider WINGED MESSENGER takes the eye in this sprint handicap. The Postponed gelding looks comfortable racing over 1200 metres, and can with another win consolidate what is proving a bountiful run for his connections.

Race 4 No3 SAN FRANCISCO BAY
Trainer: Henry Candy – Jockey: Nicola Currie

In the colours of his trainer, SAN FRANCISCO BAY is probably the answer. He’s improved from race to race in 2025, latterly running out a well supported scorer at Nottingham. He gets on well with his jockey and should prove just as effective on this switchback course.

YARMOUTH

Race 5 No2 SNOW MASTER (Nap)
Trainer: Tom Dascombe – Jockey: Piere-Louis Jamin

Ardad colt SNOW MASTER needs to overcome an absence of more than a year, but if near 100% can remain unbeaten. He posted a 25-1 shocker on this terrain on his debut when coming home unchallenged, and remains a very decent prospect with a bright future ahead of him.

Race 6 No5 KODEBREAKER (Each Way)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Dylan Hogan

A speculative wager is advised on KODEBREAKER, who has very good form at this track and may be able to raise his game now dropped into classified company. He certainly looks value if close to his paper price.

NEWBURY

Race 2 No1 BUTTERFLY BEACH
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark

Acclamation filly BUTTERFLY BEACH took a tall home reputation to Newmarket only to run into the smart Mood Queen. On reflection the Nap suffered from her lack of previous experience but has wised up considerably on the evidence of her work at home. She arrives at her local track with all guns blazing.

Race 6 No2 NIGHTSINWHITESATIN (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Archie Young

NIGHTSINWHITESATIN has made a near 500-mile round trip from Middleham, and I doubt it has just been for the goodness of her health. The Dark Angel filly converted a couple of podium finishes into a winning one when relishing the mile and a quarter trip at Nottingham. When given the office she quickened imperiously clear, and looks a bet worth waiting for in the nightcap.

THIRSK

Race 2 No5 HAADERR (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

From the same stable, HAADERR can make a winning debut as the main arrow of two Bethell runs in this race. The Mohaather colt has given out some pleasing signals in his work and looks well drawn for his first test.

Race 6 No4 ARUNDEL
Trainer: Ed Dunlop – Jockey: Danny Tudhope

ARUNDEL has run well on both visits to northern courses, with a second at Beverley followed by success in a maiden handicap at Pontefract. His last two runs have seen him go close at Newmarket and Yarmouth, making him the percentage call in a weak looking finale.

NEWMARKET

Race 4 No8 MR CHAPLIN (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Luke Dace

The bare facts from MR CHAPLIN’s three races this year fall a long way short of revealing his true ability, as he got no run first time back at Goodwood, was drawn on the wrong side of the track in the Britannia at Royal Ascot and was taken out when looking full of running back at Goodwood two weeks ago. On that occasion a gap closed in front of him causing him to lose momentum, but he ran on in the final 150 yards, and could go very well tonight if enjoying the rub of the green. He’s a winner waiting to happen.

Race 6 No9 SARAFINI MSHAIRI
Trainer: Edward Smythe-Osbourne – Jockey: Ashley Lewis

A daughter of the recently deceased stallion Cable Bay, SARAFINI MSHAIRI has earned on all but one of her eight starts, racing exclusively on sand last year but doing the reverse in three outings on grass in 2025. She made Twirler fight for the spoils on her latest outing at Windsor which was her best since opening her account at Wolverhampton, and has to be looked upon as a filly that should have more to offer.
