DEAUVILLE FESTIVAL BEST BETS SUNDAY

Race 2 SKY SPORTS RACING PRIX DE PSYCHE (Group 3)

No4 LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: James Doyle

The first major race of the 2025 Deauville Festival can go across La Manche via LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. Gosden’s filly was having just a fourth career start when finishing in eye taking style in the Group 2 Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot but should cope with a drop back to a mile and a quarter. WHATSBOUTISM earned in a Chantilly Group 3 for Andre Fabre and has untapped potential, while CANKOURA is a Listed race winner with solid form in soft ground. However, the main threat to the selection is SAFIA, who was a well supported winner of a Listed race at Longchamp, and can definitely progress on just a fourth career start under Christian Demuro.

Race 5 PRIX ROTHSCHILD (Group 1)

No9 JANUARY (Nap)

Trainer: Aidan O’Brien – Jockey: Ryan Moore

The best bet on the card is the upwardly mobile JANUARY, who following creditable efforts in defeat at Royal Ascot and Newmarket is now ready to bring her A-game to the table. The Kingman filly had two established fillies ahead of her at the business end of the Coronation Stakes and only succumbed to Cinderella’s Dream by half a length in the Falmouth with CRIMSON ADVOCATE a further place back. O’Brien has been delighted with her progress, she brings Group 1 form to the table and looks the one to beat.
