The winger was shown a red card in the second half after a careless tackle. The referee quickly sent him off, which meant his team had to play with ten men. The score was equal then, and the red card changed the flow of the game.

After the match, manager Lim Rosenior was asked about discipline within the squad. There were questions about whether his players have been too careless in key matches.

Rosenior spoke about the issue. “We have to be better. Discipline is part of football. When you lose a player like that, it affects the whole team.”

He added that he wants to build stronger standards at the club. “I want to create a culture of accountability.

“Everyone must take responsibility for their actions. That includes players, staff, and myself.”

Rosenior defended Neto’s character. “Pedro is passionate and wants to win. But he knows he made a mistake.

“We will learn from this.”

Chelsea’s next match will be against PSG in the UEFA Champions League on March 11.
