The German giants have yet to secure the major signings they envisioned for the 2025 transfer window. Initial offers for both Diaz and Woltemade were turned down, but Bayern remain undeterred in their pursuit of the duo.

Diaz, the 28-year-old Colombian star, is Bayern’s primary target to reinforce their left flank, especially after Leroy Sane’s departure to Galatasaray. Head coach Vincent Kompany has praised Diaz for his relentless energy, physicality, and ability to play multiple attacking roles, including as a winger or central forward.

“Diaz has the intensity and versatility to play at the highest level every three days,” a source close to Bayern’s recruitment team said, highlighting the club’s admiration for the Liverpool attacker.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Nick Woltemade has caught Bayern’s attention for his adaptability and imposing 1.98-meter frame. The Stuttgart attacking midfielder, who can also play as a striker, combines technical finesse with physical dominance, making him an attractive long-term investment.

However, Stuttgart’s firm stance has complicated negotiations, with reports indicating they rejected an offer of 40 million euros plus 5 million in add-ons.

Liverpool have also stood firm, rejecting Bayern’s bid of 67.5 million euros for Diaz, who remains under contract until 2027. The Reds have made it clear they have no intention of letting their star winger go, with sources confirming they value him at over 86 million euros.

Despite this, Bayern are preparing a second offer, buoyed by reports that Diaz is keen on a move to Munich. A post on X from @cfbayern on July 9, noted that Diaz had informed Bayern of his desire to join, boosting their confidence in securing a deal.

Stuttgart’s CEO Alexander Wehrle has taken a hardline stance on Woltemade, reportedly urging Bayern to cease direct contact with the player to avoid unsettling him. The Swabians are holding out for at least 65 million euros for their young star, whose contract runs until 2028 with no release clause.

Bayern’s persistence reflects their ambition to reclaim dominance in the Bundesliga and compete in Europe, but with both Liverpool and Stuttgart digging in, the Bavarians face a challenging road ahead to secure their top targets.
