The 21-year-old Argentine, one of five players United have deemed surplus to requirements this summer, has set his sights firmly on Stamford Bridge, but negotiations are proving tricky.

United have slapped a 50 million pounds valuation on Garnacho, according to The Telegraph, while Chelsea believe 30 million pounds is closer to his true worth, citing a similar bid from Bayer Leverkusen in January as a benchmark.

This 20 million pounds gap has stalled talks, with neither side showing signs of budging.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on Garnacho’s stance, revealing the player’s unwavering commitment to joining Chelsea. “The message from the player is clear: Chelsea or nothing,” Romano said on DAZN. “It’s either Chelsea, or I stay at United and don’t play for the next six or 12 months.”

Romano also noted that Chelsea have tried to sweeten the deal by offering United a choice of players, including Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Axel Disasi, and Renato Veiga, in a potential swap arrangement.

However, United’s head coach Ruben Amorim has made it clear that the club’s board are standing firm. Speaking earlier this summer, Amorim said, “The club have a number for these players. If that number isn’t met, they will remain Manchester United players, no doubt about that.”

He added, “Some players want a new challenge, and we’re allowing them to decide. But if no deal is reached, they’ll have to fight for their place here. That’s perfect for me, it means more competition and more options.”

Recent posts on X from trusted sources, including @FabrizioRomano, confirm that Garnacho has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, intensifying his push for the move.

Yet, with United holding out for their asking price and Chelsea prioritizing other deals, such as a potential move for RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, a resolution may not come until the final days of the transfer window.

For now, Garnacho’s future hangs in the balance. United’s firm stance and Chelsea’s calculated approach mean this transfer saga is far from over, with the young winger’s next step hinging on whether the clubs can bridge their valuation divide.
