David Ornstein from The Athletic has reported that Guardiola could end his 10-year spell at the club as early in the summer.

There are already rumors that Enzo Maresca could take over his position, as plans are said to be in place for him at Chelsea. Last week, Maresca also spoke in a press conference about feeling unsupported by some people inside the club. His comments have added to the talk about possible changes at Chelsea.

He has since cleared the air and that he will stay with the Blues until 2029.

“It doesn’t affect me at all because I know it’s 100 per cent speculation.

“In this moment, there is no time for these kinds of things, first of all because I have a contract here until 2029.

“It’s speculation. One week ago, in Italy, it was the same with Juventus.

“I don’t pay attention because I know it’s not true.

“Now it’s important to understand the reason why this news was there. But it’s not my job, I don’t care at all.”

Maresca worked as an assistant coach under Pep Guardiola and was part of Manchester City’s treble-winning team in the 2022/2023 season.

The Italian coach joined Leicester City in 2023 and led them to win the Sky Bet Championship, earning promotion to the Premier League. He has since gone on to win two trophies with Chelsea, proving his quality as a manager.
