Fresh reports from German outlet Bild indicate that the 29-year-old Guinean forward is being actively shopped to teams in the oil-rich kingdom, amid ongoing speculation about his future.
Guirassy penned a four-year deal with Dortmund upon his 18 million euros arrival from VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2024, binding him to the club through June 2028. His current base salary stands at approximately 9 million euros per season, supplemented by performance-based bonuses that could push his earnings higher.
A switch to Saudi Arabia, however, could see those figures more than double, with Bild estimating a potential 18 million euros annual package, reflecting the league’s aggressive financial push to attract Europe’s elite talents.
Adding intrigue to any potential deal is a tiered release clause in Guirassy’s contract. Valued at around 50 million euros for a predefined list of elite European suitors, including Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, it drops progressively each year through 2028.
Crucially, this provision excludes Saudi clubs, forcing any interested party there to engage in direct talks with Dortmund, where transfer demands are expected to soar well beyond the 50 million euros threshold.
Dortmund’s stance appears measured, with the club valuing stability amid Guirassy’s solid integration since his arrival, he’s netted consistently in the Bundesliga and beyond. The forward himself has downplayed exit talk on multiple occasions, including a firm rejection of Saudi overtures back in August 2025, emphasizing his appreciation for the Black and Yellows’ trust in him.
Yet, with his agent now proactively touting opportunities abroad, a formal bid from the Gulf could test those loyalties and ignite another high-stakes saga for one of Europe’s most prolific marksmen.
