Late drama followed as PSG thought they had a chance to secure all three points, only for a penalty decision to be overturned by VAR.
“It’s tough to switch back to league duty after such an important match in a fantastic atmosphere; motivationally, it’s a challenge. This result is disappointing because we really needed the three points,” said Enrique after the FC Lorient match, as quoted by Goal.
“We only fielded two players who started on Tuesday evening, and we tried to control the game as we wanted to. We wanted to win, but we missed that chance.”
