The 20-year-old midfielder, who recently returned from injury, spoke openly about the team’s struggles but insisted belief inside the squad remains strong. Bergvall missed a large part of 2026 but made his comeback off the bench against Nottingham Forest before earning a start in the recent trip to Sunderland.

Reflecting on his time out, he admitted: “It was tough not being able to help the team on the pitch,” but stressed he stayed fully committed behind the scenes, supporting his team-mates throughout.

Despite a heavy 3-0 defeat to Forest at home, Bergvall highlighted the powerful backing from supporters as a major source of motivation. Fans packed the streets and created an electric atmosphere, something the young Swede says has not gone unnoticed.

“It was unbelievable to see everybody together,” he said. “Sadly, the result didn’t go our way, but the support meant everything to us.”

Tottenham’s difficult campaign has tested both players and fans, yet Bergvall praised the loyalty shown from the stands. “Seeing our fans still backing us, still turning up even after a poor season, we really love that,” he added.

With six matches remaining, the midfielder made it clear the squad are determined to fight until the end. He revealed there have been honest discussions within the dressing room as players look to understand each other better and find solutions on the pitch.

“There have been lots of conversations about how we improve and turn things around,” he explained. “We are focused on what’s ahead.”

And his message was simple and emphatic: “I know we can win these games. I know we can turn this around. With our supporters behind us, we are one – and we will fight together.”
