England captain Harry Kane lifted the first major trophy of his career on Sunday as Bayern Munich were officially crowned Bundesliga champions.
The title was secured following Bayer Leverkusen’s 2–2 draw against Freiburg, a result that rendered them unable to surpass Bayern’s 76-point tally with only two matches remaining in the season.
For Kane, the championship represents the first major trophy of his professional career, a long-awaited breakthrough after several near-misses at both club and international level. The 31-year-old striker has played a pivotal role in Bayern’s campaign, contributing 24 goals and positioning himself as the league’s leading scorer for a second consecutive season.
