The 24-year-old France international received treatment following Bayern’s 2-2 draw with Mainz on Matchday 14, a game settled by a late Harry Kane penalty. Olise did not take part in full team training at Sabener Strasse on Tuesday or Wednesday, raising doubts about his availability for Sunday’s trip to FC Heidenheim.

Sport BILD reported that Olise was able to return to light running later in the week, but his involvement at the Voith Arena remained uncertain as Bayern continued to manage his recovery carefully.

Any absence would be a setback for Vincent Kompany’s side at a time when injuries have been building. Olise has been one of Bayern’s standout performers this season, contributing six goals and eight assists in 14 Bundesliga appearances.

His creativity and direct threat have quickly made him a key figure in Bayern’s attacking play.

Bayern, however, do have alternatives. Highly rated teenager Lennart Karl has impressed when called upon, while Luis Diaz is available again after returning from suspension, giving Kompany additional options in wide areas.

Bayern fans will be listening closely when Kompany speaks at his pre-match press conference, where he is expected to provide an update on Olise’s condition ahead of the trip to Heidenheim.
